FAMILY OF FAITH CAMPAIGN UPDATE As many of you remember, two years ago we completed the Family of Faith campaign. This important program had a minimum goal of $105 million to help establish funds for the Archdiocese of Toronto to fund a number of initiatives outlined in the Pastoral Plan. The priorities include: Providing financial support to parishes to help ensure growth and sustainability; Supporting Catholic education through parish and campus based ministry to keep our youth engaged in an active life of faith; Investing in resources that will help all of our clergy grow and be the pastoral leaders we all rely on them to be: Ensuring there is a strong catholic voice in an increasingly secular world; Restoring and enhancing the beauty of St. Michael s Cathedral as a mother church of all Catholics in the archdiocese; Establish a new capital fund to provide financing to new churches and to support those parish communities that may be struggling with significant building issues. The campaign experienced tremendous success. In total, parishioners pledged $945,156. The outpouring of generosity and sacrifice by our parish families was astounding and inspiring. A campaign such as this one does not simply end when all the pledges are collected. Now is the time when we start to see the wonderful effects of our efforts. Remember, not all of these funds go to support the archdiocesan initiatives. Through parishioners fulfilling their pledges and making their first few payments, the parish has already received $405, 601.67. These funds will be used to pave the church parking lot, including the newly acquired property adjacent to the church. Your generous support and prayers are making the Family of Faith truly successful at our parish. However, some pledges are not being fulfilled because of missing payment information, changed credit card number, etc. If your pledge belongs to that category, you might have already received one or more letters from the Family of Faith Donation Processing Center. Please contact Kathryn Moore Collins at your earliest convenience at kcollins@archtoronto.org or call 416-934-535 extension 535 to provide the missing information and catch up with the redemption process. Thank you to each member of our own parish family of faith for the continued support of our mission!
