2018 Mission Statement Raising up a servant people to display the love of Christ! Our Prayer: Almighty God giver of every good gift; Look graciously on your Church, Holy Trinity Cathedral, and so guide the minds and hearts of those who shall choose a priest to serve as dean of this Cathedral, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will lead us, teach us, and sanctify us with your Word and Sacraments; who will care for us and equip us for our ministries. This we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen God called and chose a people to be His very own. The Lord consecrated them to himself to be His very own treasure. Since that beginning, the Lord Jesus, who is the Head of our church, has been working through the holy People of God at Trinity to make visible His Kingdom and to be salt and light here in Worcester County and beyond. He has rained down holy fire from heaven upon our altar to ignite the fire of Pentecost on the ancient altar in this sanctuary. He has filled His house with glory of His presence and He is anointing us in the power of the Spirit to be His witnesses, bringing the Good News to the lost and the lapsed. Bp. R. Lipka 12/1/95 WHO WE ARE! Believers who celebrate life our life, faith and prayer Biblically-centered Spirit-filled and Sacramental Worship, Teaching, Fellowship, Breaking of Bread and Prayer. Holy Trinity is a charismatic, evangelical and sacramental Anglican Catholic Church. We are the Cathedral of the Missionary Diocese of All Saints, which is affiliated with Forward in Faith. The office of the Suffragan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Richard W. Lipka is located here. 3

We are known as a very loving congregation which proclaims the Word of God, shares the love of Jesus and pray in all situations, including healing. We strive to be visitor friendly: smiling greeters welcome everyone at the entrance; ushers hand out service bulletins and assist with helpful information. Worship is at the heart of our life at Holy Trinity! As we draw near to the throne of grace, honoring our Lord, we are strengthened spiritually for daily life & service. Our worship style combines traditional liturgy empowered with the Spirit with contemporary worship. We believe that it is important to worship in Spirit and in truth. Like the early church, we are open to the leading and power of the Holy Spirit. We express our love, devotion & joy to our worthy Lord who deserves all the honor, glory & praise! We project the words of the songs and our musical responses on the wall. The music team leads the congregational singing & responses. They also do special music. Currently, we are seeking a worship leader/pianist & guitarist. The church owns an electronic piano, drum set and sound system. The Sunday Service begins at 10 AM and ends about 11:30AM. The Holy Eucharist is celebrated every Sunday. During Communion trained prayer teams are ready to pray for you at the prayer stations in the back of the church. Nursery is available for infants and young children. Who We Are Sunday School is offered to the children during the sermon time. Class 1 is Pre-School Class 2 is Primary Class 3 is Intermediate & teens Son Kids is the name for our children s group at church. They go on outings, sponsor fund raisers, and share 4

WHO WE WERE In 1995 a group of faithful parishioners from the Church of the Holy Spirit in Ocean City, MD was called to leave the Episcopal Church. Led by Fr. Larry Hill, all ties with the Episcopal Church and its increasingly unscriptural based, liberal theology were cut. We joined the Charismatic Episcopal Church (CEC). For the first few years we met in homes, in rented meeting rooms, in condos and hotels. Through God s favor we finally found a temporary Sunday home at Showell Elementary School. In 1996 the Lord opened up the opportunity for us to purchase 6+ acres of property near the Ocean Pines area. Finally, our new and permanent church home was blessed and our first service took place on July 4, 1999. 2003 - The Diocese of Delmarva, made up of parts of Potomac and Mid-Atlantic Diocese, was created. 2004 - Bishop Richard Lipka became Rector and the new Diocesan Bishop. Trinity Church became Holy Trinity Cathedral 2006 - Holy Trinity Cathedral left the CEC to operate independently. 2009 - Holy Trinity became part of Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) and an active participant in Forward in Faith. At the same time a new non-geographical diocese was birthed, the Missionary Diocese of All Saints (MDAS). William IIgenfritz was elected Bishop and Richard Lipka, Suffragan Bishop Currently Holy Trinity remains the Cathedral Church of the Diocese, office of Bishop Richard Lipka. Who We Were and What We Do WHAT WE DO! PRAY! Prayer is a vital part of our life and leadership at Holy Trinity! Leadership: Bishop Rich Lipka serves as Rector. Bob Graulich is the Arch deacon of the Cathedral; the three remaining Deacons are: Joseph Schneider; David Smith; George Rocky Burnett; Brenda Smith serves as Deaconess. Discovery Class is led by Bishop Lipka twice a year for those who desire Reception or Confirmation of their faith. It is held at the church from 1 until 2 PM on Tuesdays. Each semester the Healing School of Prayer offers one of the three levels which were written by Fr. Francis & Judith McNutt. Trained Prayer Teams pray for special needs each Sunday morning after Holy Communion. The Vestry meets at the church the second Tuesday of the month. Dr. Bill Plack is the Senior Warden. 5

The Women of Trinity are the driving force for events at the church. They have Bible study before the meeting, sponsor fundraisers for outreach. Every year they sponsor boxes for Franklin Graham s Samaritan s Purse. The Men of Trinity meet once a month on Saturday for breakfast and Bible study at a local restaurant. In addition there is a men s group that meets on Thursday evenings. Intercessory Prayer Groups meet Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. Soaking prayer is offered by the Healing Ministry. Appointments are required. We also have the C.O.R.D. E-mail Prayer Group.. House Churches meet in Salisbury, Ocean Pines and Bethany Beach, DE for teaching, fellowship & breaking of bread. They build up the saints for the work of ministry. Other Ministry Groups include altar guild, acolytes, crucifers, lectors & chalicists; ushers and greeters; sound board technicians & projectionists, missions, music team, healing team; Vacation Bible Son Kids; Anglicans for Life More Of WHAT WE DO Ground Maintenance Crew: several members who volunteer to take care of the grounds. 6

Our Vision It is our desire to find a pastor who will not only continue to feed us with the Word and the Sacrament of the Lord but one who willingly steps up to the unique challenges of the lower eastern shore area. While our current congregation is comprised mostly of seniors, it is imperative for our new pastor to have a vision of growth and inspiration that can be brought to the young families residing in our immediate area. A pastor who is able to recognize the potential of our young parishioners and guide them to be fully participating members and disciples of our church; one who is willing to take his ministry out amongst the poorest of our community; one who can motivate the congregation to participate in spreading the joy of the good news of Jesus Christ and providing guidance to those most in need of God s mercy; A pastor who has the ability to utilize all available resources and media to promote attendance and growth within our community. It is our vision to be a church that reflects Christ by connecting with people of all walks of life through our creative services, discipleship and outreach. We are devoted to engaging and impacting the lives of others. We believe that Jesus Himself set an example of service and that we've been given the responsibility to follow. Vision is the faith to see how God s truth can touch our lives. It is the bridge that beckons us and links us to the future realms of possibility and hope. It is the goal toward which we move as His people, arising out of our burden to know the will of God. He creates the vision & we receive it. Terry Fullam 7
