FAMILY EVENT Snow Tubing Taylors Falls Wild Chutes at Wild Mountain February 17 Leave Immanuel at 12:00 noon $14.00 per person Pick up forms in Youth Information Center Grades 9-12 2018 Cardia Deo Equipped March 1-3 Big Sandy Camp, McGregor www.bigsandycamp.com We are Called, Gathered, Equipped and Sent to share the Heart of God (Cardia Deo) in the world. This year we focus on what it means to be Equipped. Through Bible studies, worship, and time together, youth and adults will learn and live out the faith practices that equip us to love God and love each other. Cardia Deo is a full weekend of fun and faith-nurturing activities including Bible studies, a mystery event, service learning, worship, and camp life all planned and led by the LYO Board! And an adult track led by the retreat chaplain feeds the faith of adult leaders as well! Cardia Deo is much more than an event. It is space in a busy world to be away from the demands and pressures of daily life, to be yourself in a safe space, to be in community with people who accept you as you are, to be challenged to learn and grow in faith,

and to be loved by God so you can return home transformed to be the person God has called, gathered, equipped and sends you to be! www.nemnsynod.org/cd High School Kids & Chaperones Needed for a GREAT Retreat! MONTHLY WORSHIP Thank You for sharing your gifts during worship in January. We continue to ask you to check your calendar for February and March sign up to be a part of worship. We are still in need of overall leadership for each area: greeters, acolytes, communion servers, coffee hour servers. Contact either La Jean Herman (389-1209) or Helen Olson (389-4131) if you are willing to help us out. You are an important part of worship and we need to share our gifts for the glory of God at Immanuel. Thank You!!

The whole seating area of the Sanctuary is looped to help with hearing. If you have a telephone switch or T-Coil in your hearing aid, all you have to do is switch it on or it may automatically turn on when in the loop. You will hear directly from the PA System and clarity is amazing. We welcome feedback, please let Jensine or Jerry know good and bad as we are still making adjustments! Connection Cards. We are using what we call Connection Cards which are found in the hymnal racks. People in the pews are asked to share the same information they have in the past but in a different format. There is the addition of a perforated card at the bottom for visitors to take with them for information or for members to tear off to give to someone to share about Immanuel Lutheran Church. All volunteer sign-ups will be through an additional ½ sheet insert or eventually through our Welcome Center. There is now a Prayer Request tab on the website. You can put your request on it and it will go straight to Jensine Turner and Pastor Paul.

If you don t have email access, contact Jensine Turner at 763-389- 3193 or jensineturner01@gmail.com.
