Who was Joseph of Arimathaea?
There are hundreds of prophecies in the Bible that Jesus has fulfilled so many it would be impossible to list all of them here. However, I have listed a few prophecies that you can use to see how Jesus fulfilled prophecy at this death and resurrection. Prophecies of Jesus Prophecy: Jesus' hands and feet were pierced and nailed to a cross. Scripture(s): Psalm 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. Fulfillment: John 19:18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst. John 20:25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. Prophecy: Jesus was buried in a rich man's tomb. Scripture(s): Isaiah 53:9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Fulfillment: Matthew 27:57-60 When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:he went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed. * Dark blue cards are prophecy and light blue cards are fulfillment. ** Directions: Cut out the cards and put them into the pocket (pocket on the page after cards) Use the blank cards to write down other prophecies you find.
