We are as excited this year for our Disciple Now weekend, VICTORIOUS. You may have some questions about what this actually is, and simply put it is a weekend geared towards bringing students (6 th -12 th ) closer to their creator and savior Jesus Christ. This year our focus will be on how Christ has not just brought us victory but that He IS our victory, that in Him we find not just a better way of doing life but victory over the world as we know it and what it has to say about us. Students today face challenges no one saw coming, but we believe the answer to them is the same now as it has been throughout history. A life built solely on the hope and promises of Jesus. If you ve never been a part of a DNOW weekend, the basic layout is that each student will be placed in a Host Home based on gender and grade, each host home will have an assigned adult to help lead small group discussions as well as some devotionals and all kind of other shenanigans I m sure! You will notice on the schedule something called a session, this is simply a time where we will worship together and have our speaker bring a message, messages are followed by DEVO times that give students a chance to debrief what they just heard with their host homes. We know your kiddos are busy and if for any reason they need to come and go throughout the event that is just fine, we simply ask that you fill out one of the time away cards found in this parent packet so we know when to be expecting them to leave and come back. Also, if your student has any special needs we should know about or things you d like us to be looking out for please don t hesitate to let us know. Again, we are so excited for this weekend of worship, teaching, and missions; we would love nothing more than for your student to join us (along with their friends!) We truly believe that God doesn t call students to a junior varsity type of walk with Him, but that He has called them to be devoted followers of Him with what He has given them. That is our hope for the weekend, that each student would cease trying to find victory in the things this world has to offer, and fix their eyes on the beauty and majesty of Jesus Christ. God Bless, Brady Watson
