*The Prayer of Dedication (In Unison) Loving God, you have blessed us with so much. Help us to celebrate your grace with the same generous abandon as the prodigal s father. Empower us to share our robes and rings and riches with those in need. Inspire us to live the Gospel so that others may be led to your joyful embrace, through the grace of Christ. Amen. The Opening Prayer (In Unison) Almighty, all merciful God, we praise you for your unending care and steadfast devotion. Like a father who never stops watching and waiting for the return of his wayward child, you refuse to give up on us. Your hope never falters. Your love never wavers. Thank you for giving us a home as your beloved children through the grace of Christ. Thank you for leaving the door to your heart open and ready to welcome us home. Amen. The Prayer of Confession (In Unison) Loving God, we leave the home of your heart in so many ways. Like the prodigal son, we grow restless and rebel against your loving will. Like the elder brother, we resist your generous grace. We do not love as you ask; we do not live as you wish. Forgive us, Lord. Tune our hearts and turn our steps homeward to your welcoming embrace. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. (Please see insert) The Church Responds *The Affirmation of Faith - Apostles' Creed (In Unison) I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. The Prayers of the People and Lord s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. The Offertory Invitation God has blessed us with abundance. God has given us more than our share. Like the younger son, we are often tempted to use our resources to indulge our own desires. God calls us to a different path. God gives us the freedom and the responsibility to use our blessings to help heal the world. Let us bring before the Lord our tithes and offerings. Please sign and pass the Friendship Registers located near the center aisle. Thank you! The Offertory Special Music Nate Grossman, piano *The Congregation Sings in Response #6 Praise God, Praise God, from whom all blessings flow. Praise Him, all creatures here below. Alleluia! Alleluia! Praise Him above, ye heav nly host. Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Special thanks to everyone who helped provide refreshments for the reception after Wednesday s Lenten Service at Covenant. They were delicious and much appreciated!! Per Capita Due It s not too late to pay your per capita. Per capita is an allotment that Saint Andrews owes the Beaver-Butler Presbytery for each active member on our rolls. This money is used at the Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly levels to pay operating expenses salaries, utilities, supplies, etc. This year, the rate is $40.00 per member. If you wish to pay your portion of our per capita, you may use the giving envelope marked Denominational Apportionment 2016, or simply mark per capita on the memo line of a check made out to Saint Andrews. Thank you! First Sunday Mission Offering Our First Sunday Mission Offering in March will benefit the Butler County Relief Initiative. BERI works with Butler County families who need assistance paying their heating and utility bills. Last year, approximately 250 households received help through the BERI fund. Clients are encouraged to participate in financial literacy training and housing counseling so they can become more self-sufficient. This approach has produced significant results. Clients contributions to their utility bills have grown from 2% in 2006 to over 40% in 2013. BERI is our mission recipient for March. Please designate your mission offering by writing BERI on your envelope or on your check. Thank you. One Great Hour of Sharing Offering Easter Sunday, March 27th This year s One Great Hour of Sharing Poster shows a man with a shovel in his hand. His name is Jaime. He is digging a trench for a new water system for his village in the Philippines. In 2013, a typhoon devastated the area, killing thousands and displacing millions. Yet Jaime is smiling. One of the reasons is you! Through your gifts to One Great Hour of Sharing, you are helping to restore water to his village. The One Great Hour of Sharing Offering helps care for people in need here at home and around the world. Some, like Jaime, have been hurt by sudden catastrophe war, flood, fire while others have grown so familiar with need they can t imagine a world of plenty. The ministries of One Great Hour of Sharing respond to the most immediate and urgent needs while working to address the underlying causes of chronic problems. Through your gifts, you will help Presbyterian Disaster Assistance restore communities that have been affected by disaster. You will help the Presbyterian Hunger Program alleviate hunger and its causes here in the U.S. and around the world. And you will help Self-Development of People empower those who are economically poor and oppressed. On Easter Sunday, March 27, we will receive the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering during worship. Please give generously. Your gifts witness to the love of God in Jesus Christ in very tangible ways.
