MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Dear Friends, The Family Promise model is a community solution to local family homelessness. Thank you for your support and participation in this work. We are proud of our expanding program offerings and the successful outcomes at Family Promise of Lawrence. This past year has been an exciting year of growth and impact. We can now serve 22 families at a time, having expanded our Temporary Housing program to 10-single family units in 2017 through partnerships with generous community members. FPL?s two intake programs (Rotation and P515) allow flexibility for families as they choose which program will work best for their unique situation. Our Graduate Supports Program continues case management services, classes and support of families once they are housed and leave FPL active programming. The most important outcome is to help homeless families achieve and maintain housing. Year after year, more than 86% of families we serve remain housed after a 2-year tracking period. FPL is positioned to continue to address the needs in our community. In 2018, we plan to launch 2 new programs, a savings matching program and a landlord referral program, each designed to help families stay housed and avoid homelessness if at all possible. This work takes the whole community. Thank you for your important part in such an effective, efficient and local solution to family homelessness. With gratitude, Dana Ortiz, Executive Director D ana Ortiz Dana Ortiz Executive Director
