WELCOME to GRACE UNITED CHURCH June 25, 2017 Canada 150 Bold printed text indicates congregational responses. GATHERING of GOD S PEOPLE PRELUDE & INTROIT And on This Path More Voices #8 WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS HYMN We Are One Voices United #402 CENTRING WORDS The heavens keep telling the wonders of God, and the skies declare, what our Creator has done. Psalm 19 From Ocean, to Ocean, to Ocean, and the many lakes and rivers that fill this land, the water sings out God s beauty. From the rocky shores of Newfoundland, to the lush forest of British Columbia, the land proclaims God s beauty. In the playfulness of polar bears, beavers, deer, the quiet footsteps of the lynx, wolf, and moose, all life that fills the sacred earth lives God s beauty. In the gifts of those who were first here, those who settled here, were born here, and came to this place, in the bringing together of the rich tapestry of cultures, languages, art, and wisdom, all people live God s beauty. In the 150 years of dreaming how to be together, in the successes, the struggles, and the failures, we are called to remember our past, to live in relationship today, and to work towards a future for all. With God s help we live the beauty of life together. God bless our worship that our hearts may be opened, and we may find the inspiration to live your dream of love, justice, and wholeness for all. Amen. SONG O Canada Voices United #524 PASSING OF THE PEACE LIGHTING OF THE CHRIST CANDLE
