Confirmation Meeting There will be a meeting for the Confirmation students and their parents from the three parishes. The meeting will be Sunday, January 22 at St. Luke s at noon, following the 11:00 AM Mass. We will be discussing the schedule for the day of Confirmation, sponsors, etc. R.C.I.A. - R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) classes will be starting in January 2017 and running through May 2018. This is for anyone that would like to consider joining the Catholic Church. Reception into the church would take place Easter of 2018. It is also a great opportunity for existing Catholics to brush up on their faith if so desired. Healing Mass There will be a Healing Mass at St. Luke s on Friday, January 20. Confessions and Eucharist Adoration begin at 6:00pm, Mass will be celebrated at 7:00pm followed by the opportunity for prayers for individual needs (yours or you can request them for someone else by proxy) and then food and fellowship in the parish hall. Join us for a Spirit-filled evening through the energy and healing touch of the Holy Spirit through Adoration, Confession, the Mass, prayers and music. St. Luke's Adult Ed - St. Luke's adult ed group will be studying the book of Revelation, from the Great Adventure series presented by Jeff Cavins. We will begin on Sunday, January 29th at 9:00 AM. Newman Center Meals The students have returned to campus for the spring semester and they are looking forward to the best meal of the week at the Newman Center. We would like to continue to offer the students a home cooked meal on Thursday evenings. They eat about 6:00 PM and last semester we had 10 12 students each week. Marcia will call the cook of the week with the number of RSVP s. The signup sheet is on the St. Luke office window. Right To Life Thursday, January 19, a vigil walk around the federal courthouse starts at 6:30 pm at Riverside Church, 207 NE Monroe Street, Peoria.
