Page 4 of 6 Sundays at 9:00 a.m. Ryan Plummer will be teaching the class for Middle and High Schools, meeting every other week throughout the summer (June 24, July 8, 22, Aug. 5, and 19) in the church office. The subject is The American Heritage series. Deacon Joe will be leading a series called, A History of Christian Worship for the adults. This is a six-part series that explores centuries of worship practices, as seen through the eyes of Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox churches. The first section was excellent. Part 2, The Body, begins this week and will conclude July 1. ***** A Devotional Trust Me, and don t be afraid. Many things feel out of control. Your routines are not running smoothly. You tend to feel more secure when your life is predictable. Let Me lead you to the rock that is higher than you and your circumstances. Take refuge in the shelter of My wings, where you are absolutely secure. When you are shaken out of your comfortable routines, grip My hand tightly and look for growth opportunities. Instead of bemoaning the loss of your comfort, accept the challenge of something new. I lead you on from glory to glory, making you fit for My kingdom. Say yes to the ways I work in your life. Trust Me, and don t be afraid.

Page 6 of 6 Two young boys were spending the night at their grandparents the week before Christmas. At bedtime, the two boys knelt beside their beds to say their prayers when the youngest one began praying at the top of his lungs. "I PRAY FOR A NEW BICYCLE... I PRAY FOR A NEW NINTENDO... I PRAY FOR A NEW VCR..." His older brother leaned over and nudged the younger brother and said, "Why are you shouting your prayers? God isn't deaf." To which the little brother replied, "No, but Grandma is!" TIL NEXT WEEK,
