DAY 01: ARRIVAL - KATHMANDU (-/-/-) Arrive in Kathmandu. Meeting and assistance at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Upon arrival in meeting and assistance at the airport and transfer to the hotel DAY 02: KATHMANDU (BREAKFAST/-/-) After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swoyambhunath Stupa It is a place where the city s Kings were crowned. Having been built and rebuilt over the generations, it is now the valley s number one tourist attractions. Most of the temples you see here are a mere three or four centuries old. The entire square was designated as a World Heritage Monument in 1979. The Durbar Square is teeming with shrines and statues. Walk around Kumari Chowk which is a home of living goddesses, she comes to the balcony at the scheduled time to welcome the guests. Continue on to Swoyambhunath Stupa On the top of the hill west of Kathmandu value is one of the popular and instantly recognizable symbols of Nepal. It is also referred to as Monkey Temple by many tourists because of the large tribes of monkeys that guards the hill. Legends say after the Bodhisattva Manjushri drained the water from the lake revealing the Kathmandu valley, the lotus one the island of the lake was transformed into the hillock, and the blazing light from the lotus became the statue. Afternoon, sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur Durbar Square "Bhaktapur Durbar Square" the city is also known, is a museum of medieval art and architecture with many examples of sculpture, woodcarving and colossal pagoda temples consecrated to different gods and goddesses which is 15 km far from Kathmandu. It is a conglomeration of pagoda and shikhara-style temples grouped around a fifty-five window palace of brick and wood. Visit Pottery Square The wide open brick courtyard will be awash with a mix of small grey and brownish red clay pots, all sectioned off depending on design or purpose. In among this maze of clay ware you ll see a person tending to each pot much like a dedicated gardener might tend to their plants. Every pot is examined by hand before being turned to face the sun at new angle or dipped into a bucket of colored water. Experience the pottery making skill. After the tour, transfer back to the hotel DAY 03: KATHMANDU - POKHARA (BREAKFAST/-/-) After breakfast, drive to to Pokhara town (205 kms/7hrs drive) It is also referred as city of lakes and mountains. It is also the gateway to one of the best trekking location in the world. Approx. 200 kms from Kathmandu Pokhara enjoys a mild climate, clean air, reflection of snow capped mountains on the sheltered lake. Its relaxed atmosphere is pleasantly removed from the hectic hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. Lakeside Pokhara is a traveler s oasis. The tourist area of lakeside, stretched out along the southeast shore of the valley s largest lake. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. DAY 04: POKHARA - HOMESTAY (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER) After breakfast, visit World Peace Stupa A large Buddhist stupa is located on the ridge overlooking Phewa Lake at an elevation of 1113m. Standing more than 40m tall, the stupa looks as if it has been cross-bred with a lighthouse. This site provides one of the most satisfying short hikes in Pokhara Valley. The views from the top are phenomenal. View from here is just about the best wide angle panorama you can get of this part of the Himalayas. Hike to Pumdi Bhumid Village (3.5 hrs) Adjacent to the bustling tourist city of Pokhara, Pumdi Bhumdi (also known as Pumdivumdi) is around 7 kilometres from the centre of Pokhara, at about 1,200m elevation, along the Siddhartha- Rajmarg Highway. While the village is close to Nepal s second largest city, Pumdi Bhumdi offers a solitude and peace not found in the major tourist centre Upon arrival in the village, meet and greet by the host family. After lunch, walk around the village. Evening, prepare dinner with the family Dinner and overnight at the village house in Pumdi Bhumdi DAY 05: HOME STAY - POKHARA (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/-) Early morning, awesome view of Annapurna Range. After breakfast, visit the local School and interact with the students. After lunch, hike to Pame and drive back to Pokhara after one hour boating in Fewa lake. DAY 06: POKHARA - KATHMANDU (BREAKFAST/-/FAREWELL DINNER) After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu retracing the same highway. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel. Evening, transfer to an authentic Nepali restaurant for farewell dinner with cultural shows This is one of the wonderful experiences to taste typical Nepali food which we call Dal Baht with lentils. You will be surprised with the variety of Nepalese dishes that will keep on coming. The server with a gentle smile in their face will name you every item in Nepali as well as in English language before serving you. Along with the food you will be kept entertained with typical Nepali folk shows. You will get a chance to see the dance performance of different ethnic groups of Nepal in theirs unique cultural uniform.
