The Living Reminder God's Purpose for Our Saviour's Lutheran Church is to joyfully share God's love with all. Volume 19 Issue 1 January 2019 Dear Friends, Happy New Year and Blessed Epiphany to you all, It s late December, and as I sit in the church office on a Saturday morning to write this letter to you, I am noticing children, youth, and adults arriving at Our Saviours for a fun time of play, learning, fellowship and service. It s called Luther Kids Saturday. The front door has opened every few minutes as another family arrives for the event. Then, out of nowhere, the door opens all by itself! Is it just our powerful Casper wind holding the door open, or is it actually God getting our attention? I think it s both of these things and more! It s early January, and as I sit in the church office to put the finishing touches on this letter to you, I see adults, both those new to the church and those with a life-long active membership. The front door is still opening, I m not sure when, but it s opening more and more. Thank you all for your participation of any kind in the family of Our Saviour s Lutheran Church. God is so good to us, and as we notice God more and more in the faces of people around us, the blessings of the New Year are revealed. Thank you very much for the delightful Christmas witness and service offered in Casper by this Congregation during 2018! As I reflect upon all that has happened since I arrived here April 1, it seems like the Easter miracle of Jesus resurrection is pushing us forward and turning our eyes above and beyond this beautiful property at 618 East 6 th Street. The Worship and the Studies have been inspiring. In our Sunday and Holy Day services I am noticing a growing passion for God that brings an excitement about the future of Our Saviour s Lutheran Church. Now, our new members from November, our current and incoming Council Members, and the visitors who are showing up more and more often give us reason to wonder, How will Christ reveal Himself this Epiphany Season? News flash, the door opened again and Atchley Reed came into our community. As she serves as our new Administrative Assistant, let her know who you are and what your ministry is. If you are very new in our congregation, just say, I m new. We will all strive to serve you from the heart. With all my heart, I pray for your blessing and your spiritual growth. Let s be here in expectation January 6 for Epiphany Sunday, January 13 for our Baptism Festival, and all through the frosty days of January and February. Truly, this church has many open doors! Let s walk in. God bless you, Pastor Jo Ann Neal
