Mandatory VBS Faculty Meeting On Sunday, June 7th, all VBS Faculty (directors, teachers, adult and youth workers) will meet in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. This meeting will be very brief. It is designed to go over the school detail, picking up the rest of the student literature and decorating items and getting the VBS rooms set up. Don t forget to bring $10 for your VBS T-Shirt. Each child attending VBS will need to bring a white T-shirt for one of the craft projects. This year, all funds raised will go to support the Telford Prison Ministry. This is a great local ministry to the families of the offenders. This ministry provides families a place to relax and wait until it is time for their visit, and it helps care for their needs while they are in New Boston. If you have already signed up or would like to sign up to provide cookies for VBS, please call Wanda Sheridan at 903.628.5015 as soon as possible. FBC has a new ministry Friend to Friend. This new service opportunity is scheduled to debut with a free lunch in the Fellowship Hall on June 14 immediately following the morning service. All widows, widowers, singles and those with a desire to serve are invited. Often, one of the FBC family may need some assistance that another can provide friend to friend. Needs could include picking up medication, transportation to the doctor or grocery store, changing light bulbs, and performing other simple maintenance items, emergency lawn mowing, patio and garage cleaning, and the list is endless. Many of our church family are looking for ways to fulfill the command of Christ by serving and helping others. This is that opportunity. Already many have indicated a desire to be involved. At the luncheon, the program will get organized, a list of willing workers/friends compiled, and contact information will be gathered from those in attendance. Please contact the church office by June 10th if you will attend.
