It is known from history who the people were. The people who destroyed the city and the Temple in A.D. 70 were the Gentiles of Rome, the Romans. Since the Antichrist must be of the same nationality as the people who destroyed the city and the Temple, it is this verse that shows that the Antichrist will be a Gentile of Roman origin. 2) The beast out of the sea Revelation 13:1ff And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. The antichrist is a man, empowered by Satan seen by God as a Monster, the beast, who becomes a willing pawn of Satan s Satan, the one who empowers the antichrist is John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
