I 14-95 I Transcription of the Will of HUGH PORTER I, Hugh Porter of the County of Guernsey in the State of Ohio do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form folloing, that is to say: First, it is my ill that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid. Second, I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved ife Jane Porter in lieu of her doer the plantation on hich e no reside situated in the Tonship of Madison in the County of Guernsey containing one hundred and fifty-six acres during her natural life and all the live stock, horses, cattle, sheep and hogs by me no oned and kept thereon, also all the household furniture and other items not particularly named and otherise disposed of in this ill during her natural life as aforesaid[,] she hoever first disposing of a sufficiency thereof to pay my just debts as aforesaid and at the death of my said ife all the property hereby devised or bequeathed to her as aforesaid or so much thereof as may then remain unexpended to my to sons, three daughters and grandson Hannia Wilkins. Third, I give and devise to my youngest son Archabal Porter the farm on hich I no reside containing 156 acres lying in the County of Guernsey in the State of Ohio, and to his heirs and assigns forever. Fourth, I give and devise to my oldest son Hugh Porter the sum of tenty-five dollars. Fifth, I give and devise to my second daughter Margaret Porter (no Mathes) the sum of tenty-five dollars. Sixth, I give and devise to my oldest daughter Nancy Porter (no Trimble) the sum of tenty-five dollars. Seventh, I gave and devise to my youngest daughter Rebecca Porter (no Burnorth) the sum of seventy-five dollars. Eighth, I give and devise to my grandson Hannia Wilkins the sum of fifty dollars and one horse orth fifty more [,] the horse to be given at the death of my ife. Ninth, at the death of my ife all my stock and Chattle [sic] property is to be divided amongst my children equally. Tenth, my son Archabel is to pay the above illed sums of cash in consideration of him the said Archabel Porter receiving the farm[,] the cash to be paid at the death of my ife. And lastly I hereby constitute ::ind appoint Samuel Lindsey and Alexander Alexander to be the executors for this my last ill and testament revoking and annulling all former ills by me made and ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last ill and testament hereof! have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventeenth day of October 1835. his Hugh X Porter mark Signed published and declared by the above named Hugh Porter as and for his last Will and Testament in presence of us ho at his request have signed as itnesses to the same.
