All-gendered handicap accessible bathrooms are throughout building. The elevator is in the Narthex. There is a ramp at the West end of the PRAYER BOOK A prayer book is placed in Narthex before worship services. You may write prayer requests to be read during the Prayers of the Church during worship service. Please get permission before using another person s name. NURSERY CARE Nursery care for infants through fi rst grade is available from 8:30am to 12:30pm every Sunday in rooms 130, 127, and 126 (our crib room). We encourage children in 2nd grade to worship with their families. Children s bulletins and bibles are available in the Narthex. CHILDREN AND FAMILIES We welcome families with babies and toddlers into worship. Rocking chairs are available at the back of the sanctuary for your comfort. If your child needs space to roam, privacy to nurse, or a bathroom with a changing table, you may go to the Family Parlor, directly across the Narthex. PRAYER OF CONFESSION* Beloved One, when we forget that we are your beloved children, draw us ever closer to you. When we fail to hear your voice of love, whisper your words of reassurance. When we don t reflect the divine image within us, forgive us. Wash over with us your mercy and grace, and bathe us in your abundant love, that we may remember who we are and whose we are. In your holy name, we pray. Amen ASSURANCE OF GRACE* Don t fear God is with us. Christ has redeemed us and claims us as God s own Children named and honored with compassion and love. Children in first grade and younger may go downstairs to the nursery; infants through 2-year olds are cared for in room 130; 3-7 year olds in room 127. The Family Room, just across the Narthex, is also available for families and you can hear the service from there. As the children leave the Sanctuary, we invite the congregation to sing a blessing. ADULT FORUM Sundays at 10 am in the Assembly Hall ~Today: Pastor s forum hosted by Pastor Cameron to refl ect together on our faith in light of Sunday worship. ~January 20: Professor Seth Kotch, UNC, Department of American Studies, will give a brief presentation of his work on A Red Record, investigating lynchings in North Carolina. He will follow this presentation with the opportunity for many questions and comments. Please note: his book, Legal State, : https://amzn.to/2pwpr49, is coming out in February. It is a history of the death penalty in NC, with a chapter on the relationship between the death penalty and lynchings. This is a mystery letter exchange program with the 5th Grade Sunday School class.
