October 1, 2017, Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time WELCOME GUESTS, We are honored that you chose to worship with us today! Gospel for 10-8-17 Matthew 21:33-43 LECTORS Joey Decker - 1st Reading: Isaiah 5:1-7 Audrey Calhoun - 2nd Reading: Philippians 4:6-9 PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL Teresa Hines STEWARDSHIP "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to those of others." Philippians 2:4-5 Stewardship is often confused with volunteering. Stewardship is not primarily an activity, but an attitude a way of life. Giving of our time, talent, and treasure involves a change of attitude. It is important to think of giving as a sign of how blessed we are and how using our gifts and talents for the good of others demonstrates our gratitude to God. Blessings and thanks to Joey Decker who prayed for vocations last week. DISCUSSIONS CONCERNING THE FUTURE OF OUR CHURCH IS IM- MEDIATELY FOLLOWING MASS IN THE HINES CENTER.
