BEST & WORST AND EVERYTHING INBETWEEN For the joys and for the sorrows; the best and worst of times...for this we have Jesus...and we also have each other! Praise God! Christmas blessings go a long way 129.25 was raised during the December weeks as people were invited to switch the cost of buying Christmas cards to give to their church family, for a donation to two worthy charities, instead. A big thank you to everyone who chose this option this year as we can now split this money between the Bulabakulu Children s Village in Uganda and the Home of Hope in India. They will receive this money very soon. Every penny counts for these great charities that care for orphaned and homeless children, so THANK YOU and God bless you all! Got something to share? Please let Karen Whaite have your contribution to Best & Worst by Wednesdays, 7pm, latest. See back of bulletin for contact details. Tear off the flyer, below, and give it to a young person of high school age or older. Thanks!

Food for LIFE - 2 Corinthians 5: 1-6 For we know that when this tent we live in now is taken down when we die and leave these bodies we will have wonderful new bodies in heaven, homes that will be ours forevermore, made for us by God himself and not by human hands. 2 How weary we grow of our present bodies. That is why we look forward eagerly to the day when we shall have heavenly bodies that we shall put on like new clothes. 3 For we shall not be merely spirits without bodies. 4 These earthly bodies make us groan and sigh, but we wouldn t like to think of dying and having no bodies at all. We want to slip into our new bodies so that these dying bodies will, as it were, be swallowed up by everlasting life. 5 This is what God has prepared for us, and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit. 6 Now we look forward with confidence to our heavenly bodies, realizing that every moment we spend in these earthly bodies is time spent away from our eternal home in heaven with Jesus. Prayer Appointments If you would like a prayer appointment (these are typically 1hr with 2 people to listen and pray), please telephone or email the Pastoral Coordinator with your contact details. T: 01772 461454 E: pastoral@calvary.org.uk HAVING A CLEAROUT? CHANGING YOUR FURNITURE? Would you like to bless someone? As we engage with Food bank clients, we are discovering needs including the following: single bed * double bed * wardrobes * sideboard/storage units small table + 2 chairs * twin settee * vacuum cleaner * drawer units We could probably arrange transport if anyone could donate. One client is disposing of a comfy looking armchair, if anyone would like it. Please contact Pete McDermott if you can help or for more information.
