President's Message HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! I hope that you had a safe and happy new year. I also hope that you had a good time at the club s Christmas party. I understand that we had a turnout of 98% of our membership at the party. In addition to our regular members in attendance we also had some associate members and several guests from our sponsor, ELCO Chevrolet. All tolled we had 102 people in attendance. That was the largest number of people that we have ever had at a Christmas party. I want to thank Chris Woods and Judy Dooley for all of their hard work in putting the party together. I m also happy to report that both Chris and Judy have volunteered to do it again next year. So, mark your calendars for next year, December 14, 2019, at Royale Orleans. I also want to thank Mike and Karen Price for hosting the 12 Days of Christmas party at their home on January 5, 2019. As usual the food was good and several of the sweaters were really ugly. By the way, did anyone see a vacant space in their house that wasn t decorated? Now it's on to 2019. Probably the most important meeting of the year will be held on January 13, 2019, at Grand Slam. That, of course, is the annual

planning meeting. At this meeting all members are invited to bring their ideas as to what club activities they want to plan or help plan for the coming year. Even if you don t have something to plan, please attend and listen to what your fellow members are planning. You may get some good ideas or volunteer to help. It s because of our activities that our club is so successful. That is why we have a waiting list of people wanting to join us. So, please come to the meeting. We will have a buffet lunch at 1:30 with the meeting to follow. Let s have a successful and fun 2019 and save the wave.
