However, these microorganisms may help with digestion and offer protection from harmful bacteria, just as the existing "good" bacteria in your body already do. Prebiotics are nondigestible carbohydrates that act as food for probiotics. When probiotics and prebiotics are combined, they form a synbiotic. Fermented dairy products, such as yogurt and kefir, are considered synbiotic because they contain live bacteria and the fuel they need to thrive. Probiotics are found in foods such as yogurt, while prebiotics are found in whole grains, bananas, onions, garlic, honey, and artichokes. In addition, probiotics and prebiotics are added to some foods and are available as dietary supplements. Side effects are rare, and most healthy adults can safely add foods that contain prebiotics and probiotics to their diets. If you're considering taking supplements, check with your doctor to be sure that they're right for you. M arching to Zion - Keep pressing on, Unionites! As of Week Ten we have traveled 4,593 miles. Marching To Zion Project - Week 11 Week 11 Speak Life! Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life, No one comes to the Father except through Me. - John 14:6 Social media followers and subscribers have sayings that are common, like: I Love you to Life, or You give me life or a thing, or an event gives them life. Apparently, those sayings are not new at all. As a matter of fact, God said that He is the Way the Truth and the Life!! As believers, we are able to love others because He gives us life. He made a way for us, and we are commissioned to live out His truth and be witnesses to those who do not know Him. The truth of the matter is all of our sins were forgiven when Christ took them on as His own and paid the price for us so that we may have eternal life. For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. John 5:21. How refreshing to know that HE loves us to life!! Meditation: Pray for the unbelievers that they may be given life through Christ. Read John 10:10 Speak life to those who are perishing See more at www.unionbaptistpgh.org/ministires/health-wellness/
