Ellis by Jamey DeBerry Jean Millsaps by Pam & Bill Shubert Kathleen & Frank Shubert by Pam & Bill Shubert CHRISTMAS JOY OFFERING Each year during the Advent and Christmas season, we turn our eyes to Bethlehem and celebrate the wondrous gift of Jesus Christ, our Savior. By giving to the Christmas Joy Offering, you honor this gift by providing assistance to current and retired church workers in their time of need and developing our future leaders at Presbyterian-related racial ethnic schools and colleges. Please consider making a donation to The Christmas Joy Offering this year! Offering envelopes will be available again on December 31 or you can make a donation online at www.presbyterianmissions.org/give/christmasjoy or text JOY to 20222 to make a $10 donation. Thank you for your support of this cherished Presbyterian tradition! THANK YOU! We had a wonderful time as a congregation at our Christmas Lunch on December 10. It was a great day of food and fellowship and we appreciate all those who helped make it happen. Thanks to Brenda Bledsoe, Frances Campbell, Ragan Haston, Betty Harraman, Wanda Kinard, Donna Moody, Mary Jane Palmer, and Pam Shubert for cutting all the felt Christmas trees used on the tables and for helping with the center pieces. We appreciate Dave Carpenter s woodworking skills to make the welcome signs and we are very thankful for Bill Harraman who cooked the wonderful meal and for Phyllis Osborne who had the vision and organized us all. FUN BUNCH LUNCH It is time for the Fun Bunch to have our annual Christmas celebration. We will be serving a traditional Christmas feast of turkey with dressing, rice and gravy, salad bar, rolls and a special Christmas Cake. Some surprises may be on hand but we can t share those or it wouldn t be a surprise. Please let the church office (704-588-1290) or Frances Campbell (704-588-4686) know of you plans to attend. This is the best attended luncheon of the year and we want to be prepared for all. Please join us in this special celebration in honor of our Savior s birth. LOAVES AND FISHES Please help our hungry neighbors by donating nonperishable groceries to be given to Loaves and Fishes. The "Food-of-the-Month" list for December is: Canned Fruit, Vegetables and Meat.

A BIG THANK YOU! A Big Thank You to everyone who helped make our Ashe County Ministry work. Thank you for the donations, the wrapping, the loading, the going to make many people happy at the Christmas Party.
