Welcome PRAISE The Call to Worship Psalm 121 I lift up my eyes to the hills where does my help come from? The LORD watches over you the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. The Prayer of Thanks and Invocation Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for Thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, forever, Amen.

The Doxology Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heav nly host; Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen. RENEWAL The Call to Renewal Romans 2:4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God s kindness leads you toward repentance? The Prayer for Renewal Psalm 23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. The Silent Confession of Sin 5

The Hymn of Assurance How Lovely is Your Dwelling Place Chorus: How lovely is Your dwelling place, Almighty Lord; There's a hunger deep inside my soul. Only in Your presence are my heart and flesh restored, How lovely is Your dwelling place. In Your courts there's shelter for the greatest and the small: The sparrow has a place to build her nest. The pilgrim finds refreshment in the rains that fall, and each one has the strength to meet the test. Chorus A single day is better when spent in humble praise, than a thousand days of living without You. The Lord bestows His favor on each one who believes, and blessings on the man whose heart is true. Chorus The Giving of Our Tithes and Offerings The offering is a way for Christians to support the mission and ministry of the church. Christians offer a sacrificial portion of their resources time, talents, possessions as an act of faith and gratitude in response to God s grace. The giving of our tithes and offerings is a part of our worship service as an opportunity for the regular, proportionate and generous sharing of the resources God has given us. 6 *Online giving is also available at skyviewpca.org/giving.

COMMITMENT The Reading of God s Holy Word John 9:1-7 1 As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6 Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man s eyes with the mud 7 and said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing. The Sermon Pastor David Choi And Night Will Be No More Special Message 7

The Hymn of Preparation The Power of the Cross Oh, to see the dawn of the darkest day: Christ on the road to Calvary. Tried by sinful men, Torn and beaten, then Nailed to a cross of wood. CHORUS: This, the pow'r of the cross: Christ became sin for us; Took the blame, bore the wrath We stand forgiven at the cross. Oh, to see the pain written on Your face, Bearing the awesome weight of sin. Ev'ry bitter thought, Ev'ry evil deed Crowning Your bloodstained brow. Chorus Now the daylight flees; now the ground beneath Quakes as its Maker bows His head. Curtain torn in two, dead are raised to life; "Finished!" the vict'ry cry. Chorus Oh, to see my name written in the wounds, For through Your suffering I am free. Death is crushed to death; Life is mine to live, Won through Your selfless love. FINAL CHORUS: This, the pow'r of the cross: Son of God slain for us. What a love! What a cost! We stand forgiven at the cross. 8

The Sacrament of the Lord s Supper Communion, also called The Lord s Supper or the Eucharist, is the family meal for Christians. We invite all committed followers of Jesus Christ to partake of this sacrament: those who are baptized members of an evangelical congregation that proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ, who are at peace with God and with their neighbor, and who seek strength to live more faithfully for Christ. If you are not a Christian, or if you are not prepared to share in this meal, we encourage you to spend this time in prayer. We hope that this time is helpful to you as you consider your relationship with Jesus Christ and with His people, the church. Prayers of Meditation for Those Not Communing If you are unable to receive Communion, please use this time to meditate on one of the following prayers. Prayer for Those Searching for Truth Lord Jesus, you claim to be the way, the truth, and the life. Grant that I might be undaunted by the cost of following you as I consider the reasons for doing so. If what you claim is true, please guide me, teach me, and open to me the reality of who you are. Give me an understanding of you that is coherent, convincing, and that leads to the life that you promise. Amen. Prayer of Belief Lord Jesus, I admit that I am weaker and more sinful than I ever before believed, but through you I am more loved and accepted than I ever dared hope. I thank you for paying my debt, bearing my punishment on the cross, and offering forgiveness and new life. Knowing that you have been raised from the dead, I turn from my sins and receive you as Savior and Lord. Amen. 9
