Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, Gen. 7:10, 18 10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. 18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. Gen. 8:1 1 AND God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged; Gen. 9:8, 11-13 I 8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, 11 12 I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. 13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. Numbers 12:3 3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) Ex. 34:4 Moses, 5, 27, 28 4 Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone. 5 27 28 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel. And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. Ex. 35:1 1 AND Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said unto them, These are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye should do them. II Kings 17:9 (to 1st,), 12 9 And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the LORD their God, 12 For they served idols, whereof the LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing. Ps. 78:10, 11, 17, 19, 36, 37 They kept not the covenant of God, and refused to walk in his law; 10 11 17 19 36 37 And forgat his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them. And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness. Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness? Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongues. For their heart was not right with him, neither were they stedfast in his covenant. 32 33 34 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: Jer. 32:40 40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. Jer. 23:5, 6 5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. 6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Isa. 42:1 (to 2nd ;), 6, 7, 18 1 BEHOLD my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; 6 7 18 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see. Matt. 9:35 35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Matt. 15:30, 31 30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus feet; and he healed them: https://www.concordworks.com/concord/print/print.sp 3/7
31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel. Matt. 5:1, 2, 17, 18 1 2 17 18 AND seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. John 4:23 1st the (to :) 23 the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: II Cor. 4:6 (to 3rd,) 6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, I Cor. 15:58 (to 5th,) 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, SH 501:1 10 501:1 Scientific interpretation of the Scriptures prop erly starts with the beginning of the Old Testa 3 ment, chiefly because the spiritual import of the Word, in its earliest articulations, often seems so smothered by the immediate context as to 6 require explication; whereas the New Testament narra tives are clearer and come nearer the heart. Jesus il lumines them, showing the poverty of mortal existence, 9 but richly recompensing human want and woe with spiritual gain. SH 350:6-10 6 To understand all our Master s sayings as recorded in the New Testament, sayings infinitely important, his followers must grow into that stature of 9 manhood in Christ Jesus which enables them to interpret his spiritual meaning. 12 little Deity with human conceptions. In league with material sense, mortals take limited views of all things. Finite views of Deity SH 260:7-8 The conceptions of mortal, erring thought must give way to the ideal of all that is perfect and eternal. SH 332:23 Jesus (only), 29-30, 32 Jesus was the son of a virgin. He expressed the highest type of 30 divinity, which a fleshly form could express in that age. Thus it is that Christ illustrates the coincidence, 333:1 or spiritual agreement, between God and man in His image. SH 316:21 Christ illustrates that blending with God, his divine Principle, which gives man dominion over all the earth. SH 573:3 5 3 The Revelator was on our plane of existence, while yet beholding what the eye cannot see, that which is in visible to the uninspired thought. SH 561:16 20 John saw the human and divine coincidence, shown in the man Jesus, as divinity embracing humanity in Life 18 and its demonstration, reducing to human perception and understanding the Life which is God. Divinity and humanity SH 182:32-4 30 The law of Christ, or 183:1 Truth, makes all things possible to Spirit; but the socalled laws of matter would render Spirit of no avail, and 3 demand obedience to materialistic codes, thus departing from the basis of one God, one lawmaker. SH 244:7-12 If we were to derive all our conceptions of man from what is seen between the cradle and the grave, happi 9 ness and goodness would have no abiding-place in man, and the worms would rob him of the flesh; but Paul writes: The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath 12 made me free from the law of sin and death. SH 241:19-21 The substance of all devotion is the reflection and demonstration of divine Love, healing sickness and 21 destroying sin. https://www.concordworks.com/concord/print/print.sp 5/7
SH 359:11-14 Even though you aver that the material senses are 12 indispensable to man s existence or entity, you must change the human concept of life, and must at length know yourself spiritually and scientifically. SH 209:31-32 Spiritual sense is a conscious, constant capacity to un derstand God. SH 298:13-15 Spiritual sense, contradicting the material senses, in volves intuition, hope, faith, understanding, fruition, real 15 ity. SH 270:31-1 The life of Christ Jesus was not miraculous, but it was indigenous to his spirituality, the good soil wherein the 271:1 seed of Truth springs up and bears much fruit. SH 315:29-2 Wearing in part a human form (that is, as it seemed 30 to mortal view), being conceived by a human mother, Jesus was the mediator between Spirit and the flesh, between Truth and error. Explaining and demonstrat 316:1 ing the way of divine Science, he became the way of salvation to all who accepted his word. SH 462:9 9 If the student goes away to practise Truth s teach ings only in part, dividing his interests between God and mammon and substituting his own views for 12 Truth, he will inevitably reap the error he sows. Whoever would demonstrate the healing of Christian Science must abide strictly by its rules, heed every state 15 ment, and advance from the rudiments laid down. There is nothing difficult nor toilsome in this task, when the way is pointed out; but self-denial, sincerity, Christianity, and 18 persistence alone win the prize, as they usually do in every department of life. Divided loyalty SH 202:3 3 The scientific unity which exists between God and man must be wrought out in life-practice, and God s will must be universally done. SH 497:24 24 6.
