"Called to Peacemaking: Christ's Peace--Our Peace" The ideal of peace/reality of war, from a Biblical perspective and Christian history...aiming toward a personal response to Christ's call to peacemaking. After more than fifty years of exile and the violence of oppression, these two Nobel Peace Prize winners discuss the nature of true joy. These are short meditations on the New Testament which evoke a lot of thought, discussion, and sometimes laughter and tears as we seek to live into what we say we believe. We believe in a healthy respect for each other s beliefs since there are differences among us. Speaking up in class is entirely optional. We have some people who offer their thoughts a lot and some who never say anything, and either is fine along with anything in between. Current Study: This class studies scripture through Cokesbury materials a Daily Bible Study by the Uniform Series. This winter quarter s reading is Our Love for God. From December 31 February 24, the class will look at Loving God by Trusting Christ and Love Songs that Glorify God. b. Location: Bldg 1, Rm 27 3. This class goes at its own pace it could be one lesson per week or one lesson for three weeks. This class always does a special study for Lent and Advent as well.
