PARISH NURSE HOURS Mondays 3:30 4:30 PM How does heart disease happen? To function well, you need plenty of oxygen-rich blood flowing freely to your heart, brain, legs, and every part of your body. Fatty deposits (cholesterol) build up in the arteries over time, making them blocked, or narrowed and rough. When the heart muscle does not get enough blood & oxygen, angina symptoms appear; chest, arm, or neck pain. What is your cholesterol? NO HANDSHAKING during the flu season. Elbows only! This will continue thru the winter season. WATER TO THRIVE Wells in Ethiopia Mission project. The cost of each well is $5,000. Funds for the 1st well was sent in August. Donations are currently at $3590.69 toward a 2nd well. If you would like to contribute to this mission project, checks can be made out to Zion Lutheran Church. Please designate funds for Water to Thrive on the memo line. THE EVANGELISM /LAY MINISTRY BOARD is seeking volunteers to bring home communion to shut-ins on Communion Sundays.
