Vice Chair Report: John L. -Good afternoon, ASC In the 60 days since my last report I've seen much to encourage my spirit. However, we still have some work to do in terms of service efforts and cooperation in RANA. I have done my best to attend the different activities put on by our hard working subcommittees and will continue to try to participate in as many business meetings as possible. Just a couple of points that I think could truly make an impact on the level of participation in RANA... -While a sponsor's emphasis on the importance of participation in a subcommittee can go a long way, a sponsor's actual participation can go even further as an example to be followed. -Joint efforts between the RANA subcommittees would foster the spirit of unity. Currently, activities is planning Ranaween. This event is sure to draw most of our area and is a perfect opportunity to educate our members on the roles and importance of the other subcommittees. We need to convey how each and every individual member's efforts can really make a difference. I would love to see each subcommittee have a table set up at this event and each chairperson be given a few minutes to present to the crowd. In other business... Page 2

1.Today we will be scheduling by-law review meetings to be held in the month of September. 2. I am asking the subcommittee chairs to please be sure to stay until the open sharing portion today. Maker: Victoria H. 2 nd by: Ian L. Intent: To replace budget meeting requirement accidentally removed in a previous motion. Vote: For- 8, Against- 0, Abstaining- 3 Result: PASSED XVI. June beginning balance was $2,707.93 which did not match RANA bank statement which was $3,385.32 we were unable to figure out where the discrepancy was but receipts were all accounted for and we have more money than we thought we had. Bylaws state in September we are to set weekly by-law meetings. We don t have a current copy of amended bylaws with corrections we have made, which is the purpose of these meetings. Rudy C. suggests updating the by-laws on our website, John L. says this is done once a year in January when by-laws get printed. Victoria H. is happy to provide a copy of updated by-laws, so come see her. We discussed bringing hard copies of by-laws to ASC meetings. John says it is trickier now that we have disbanded the policy committee. He appointed Richard M., Britany M., Victoria H., Mike S., and possibly Rudy C. as part of a policy review ad-hoc. Victoria H. is the ad-hoc chair. They will meet Saturday afternoons at 2pm. XVII. Elections for Open Positions XVIII.
