C I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. Offering Prayer A Let us pray. Merciful God, C as grains of wheat scattered upon the hills were gathered together to become one bread, so let your church be gathered together from the ends of the earth into your kingdom, for yours is the glory through Jesus Christ, now and forever. C It is right to give him thanks and praise. If you would like to receive communion by common cup, we encourage you to receive communion toward the end of distribution out of courtesy for others. You are invited to move to the rail to pray as long as you desire. If you are unable to come forward, please sit by the aisle and let an usher know; a minister will bring Communion to you in your seat.
