Central Alabama Emmaus Community the 4th day newsletter February 17, 2016 A MESSAGE FROM WALK #175 LAY DIRECTOR My Emmaus experience took place at Camp Sumatanga in 2000 on Walk 204. On my walk the Lord spoke to me about my service to Him. You see, I was active in church and fulfilling my jobs. Through my Emmaus experience, I was convicted that I was just doing jobs. I was not being in service to Him and giving Him the glory. What I was accomplishing needed to be all for His glory and not mine! I have checked myself many times during the years to make sure I was working in the positions that He wanted me to do and with the right attitude. Women s Walk #175 Sybil Pemberton Prattville Cluster Times To Remember Wednesday 7pm Send-Off Friday 7pm Candlelight Saturday 7am Serenade Saturday 4pm Closing I want to thank everyone on the team for Walk 175 for their sacrificial service to the pilgrims of the walk. I am very humbled and thankful to all of you as you work together as the body of Christ. I know that all of us will give the Lord all the glory for the changed lives that will take place on this walk. I pray that the Lord will use all of our individual personalities as they come together as one body to minister to these women. I am confident in the Lord that He will speak to each person as only He can. My prayer is that each person involved in Walk 175 will be blessed beyond measure and that they will have a closer relationship with Jesus Christ and for them to say Didn t our hearts feel strangely warm as He talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us? A MESSAGE FROM WALK #175 SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR I am well aware that we are told over and over again not to anticipate during an Emmaus Walk, but, to tell the truth, I am anticipating. I am anticipating that God will move in the hearts of the pilgrims and I am anticipating that Christ will be high and lifted up by the Conference Room Team. All of these things that I am anticipating can only happen if we pray for them to happen. Pray that God will meet each pilgrim at the point they need Him the most; pray that all the talks will be given under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and pray that all the work area s will be filled for the February walk. I also would like for you to pray about serving during this walk and if that s not possible then sign up for one of the 72 hour prayer vigil spots that are available. You see, I believe that prayer changes things and without prayer nothing spiritual is going to happen. Make a commitment and join with me and the Conference Room Team as we pray that Walk 175 will be the best walk ever.
