Visitation Ministers October 14 Pasternak Truglio Carmody Vesey October 21 Deotte Liberti Petty Lucid Leidner Giordano October 14, 2018 RCIA LOOKING FOR SECURITY? If we were to make a list of what would make us happy, we might include a number of very good and beneficial things: health, good family relationships, material resources, peace of mind, etc. So often those things become a source of security for us. As a matter of fact, those around us may tell us that having it all makes for happiness. Jesus invites us to follow him and find a new source of security. Jesus tells us that through him we can receive a new security in our relationship to God and a new treasure in being part of a community of Jesus followers. Perhaps you are more interested in inner happiness rather than chasing a dream of having it all? An interest about the Catholic Faith and the Catholic Sacraments? Do you know someone who frequently comes to Mass but does not receive Eucharist because she or he is not part of our faith family? Invite your relative or your friend to call the Parish Office at 908-647-1075 to be put in touch with a member of the RCIA team. Have a question for yourself of a family member? Make the call! You can also visit the OLM website to learn more. http://olmwarren.org/rite-of-christian-initiation-ofadults Ministers of the Week - October 21 5:00 PM 8:00 AM 10:00 AM 11:30 AM Fr. Sean Msgr. We are expanding our collections to include Winter hats, scarves, gloves and mittens for Men, Women and Children. If you have some of these at home and would like to donate them, PLEASE make sure they are CLEAN and in usable condition. You can also knit, crochet or purchase items as well. We will be collecting all donations on the first two weekends of November-November 3rd and 4th and November 10th and 11th. For any questions please call Claudia Major at 732-868-4566. Thank you for your love and generosity. Living the Gospel - Save the Date(s): All parishioners are invited to participate in a Scripturesharing program this coming Advent. Here are the details: We should meet Thursday evenings, November 29, December 6, 13 and 20, from 7:30 to 9:00 PM in Shepherds Hall, and would break into small groups of 6 to 8 per group. After reading the Gospel for the following Sunday, we would discuss within our group the meaning of the Gospel, and explore together ways in which we might be able to incorporate its meaning into our life. This is not a Scripture-study program, but simply a Scripture-sharing opportunity, so no expertise is needed other than an interest in the Word of God and how it may help us in our spiritual journey. This is a great chance to meet with some of your fellow parishioners in a relaxed social setting, and to discuss God s Word together. Sharing will be on a voluntary basis no one will be pressured to share. Please mark the dates on your calendar. More details will be forthcoming in the next couple of weeks.

GRATEFUL THANKS On Sunday, September 30, 2018, the Knights of Columbus hosted their annual Fall Family Breakfast. We would like to thank all the parishioners who attended and hope you enjoyed your meal and time spent with us in Shepherds Hall. We always enjoy feeding you after you have received your Spiritual Meal upstairs in the. This event does not get done without the assistance of a number of people. Our sincerest thanks go out to the wonderful young women and men from our Faith Formation classes who got up early to help us serve your breakfast. They were happy to be at your service. We would like to let you know who they were; Dominic Popolo, Sophia Mariano, Evelyn Logan, Aidan Ross, Thomas Schweitzer, Allison Lofling, Milania Zalepa, Gabrielle Wiecek, Francesca Salas, Julia Puglisi, and Jasmine Soriano. Thank you all again, for a job well done. Of course, no event would be complete without the help of our brother Knights who work hard in the kitchen to prepare your meals. This year was especially fun for us, because it was the first event we held in the newly renovated kitchen. And the first time the new stove was fired up to cook a meal! These gentlemen are who make our meals special for you; Mike Johnson, Jerry Slack, Al Figura, Sal Scavuzzo, Bill Ginda, Joe Wong, Paul Rust, Joe Kajewski, Drew Meyer, Sal Di Bianca, Mauro DeFrancesco, Walter Ryder, and Jerry Salemi. Once again, thank you for your participation and God Bless Our Lady of the Mount Parish, Rainer Tegge Grand Knight
