Save the wheat, but let the useless chaff fly away with the wind. Wind, earthquakes, fire, springcleaning, whatever the method the result can be the same. Even with Easter! So, earthquakes, fire and wind may be a bit over dramatic attempts at cleaning out our respective closets. But in many ways, Easter is a new year. And the new year always seems to be a good time to open the flaps and rid oneself of the extra bulk we ve accumulate. Lent is a season where we are reminded of the sinfulness we carry which weighs us down. Easter is a figurative freshening of our spirit; a clearing away of all that serves only to weigh us down as we live in the light of God s glory, God s victory over sin, death and the powers of evil. Easter is an opportune time to rid our lives of debilitating frustrations that may have built up regarding relationships with peers, administrators, family members, neighbors, etc and other psychological, spiritual, and emotional burdens. Easter is a time to remember God s promise of eternal life, joy, happiness and peace meant for you and for all God s children. Open the flaps. Let God s good news of light and life, the renewing wind of the Holy Spirit blow through and take the chaff along with it. Face life lighter and freer! A New Beginning, by Roger Emerson Dawn! A new day! A fresh start! It s morning. Light! The first light. A young world adorning. Fueled by a heavenly spark; led by one beacon of hope. Moving away from the dark to the light. To the light! A new beginning will start today. A chance to change and learn and know a better way. A new beginning will start with me. We ll find a way each day to change our destiny. A dream that everyone can share and see the light from anywhere. A new beginning starts today! Stars! A bright star. A new dream revealing. Life! A young life. A new hope of healing. No one is ever alone. Nothing is ever the same. Together we ll start moving on and on and on and on. A new beginning will start today. A chance to change and learn and know a better way. A new beginning will start with me. We ll find a way each day to change our destiny. A dream that everyone can share and see the light from anywhere. A new beginning starts today. Dawn! A new day. A fresh start! Good morning! Happy Easter! Pastor Jack

After perusal of the minutes, Dot Frank moved and Darrell Nitschke seconded to approve the church council minutes of January 27, 2013. Motion passed. Pastor Lee went over the January financials. Expenses in January exceeded income; however, some of this was due to the fact that December, 2012 was a high income month and the Mission checks issued in January are 7.5% of the income received. Pastor Lee will review the high water bill for January to see if there is an underlying reason for the increase. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Moving Forward in Faith projects/loan/construction/update.
