And it came to pass, Whilst He blessed them, He departed from them And was carried up to Heaven. (Luke 24, 50, 51) I leave the world and go to the Father. At that time Jesus saith to His disciples: Amen, amen, I say to you: If you ask the Father anything in My name, He will give it you. Hitherto you have not asked anything in My name: Ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full. These things I have spoken to you in proverbs. The hour cometh when I will no more speak to you in proverbs, but will show you plainly of the Father. In that day you shall ask in My name: and I say not to you that I will ask the Father for you: for the Father Himself loveth you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came out from God. I came forth from the Father and am come into the world: again I leave the world and I go to the Father. His disciples say to Him: Behold now Thou speakest plainly and speakest no proverb. Now we know that Thou knowest all things and Thou needest not that any man should ask Thee: by this we believe That Thou camest forth from God. John 16, 23-30

"Rogation Days are days during which we seek to ask God's mercy, appease His anger, avert His chastisements manifest through natural disasters, and ask for His blessings, particularly with regard to farming, gardening, and other agricultural pursuits. They are set aside to remind us how radically dependent we are on Mother Earth, and how prayer can help protect us from nature's often cruel ways. These days are divided between the Major Rogation -- April 25 (by coincidence alone, the Feast of St. Mark) -- and the Minor Rogation, which consists of the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before Ascension Thursday. From www.fisheaters.com DRESS CODE We want to foster the greatest reverence and respect for Our Lord at Mater Ecclesiae. Our attire is an outward expression of our love for the Lord and shows how important He is to us. It is also a sign of our respect for the House of God. Therefore, one should always wear their Sunday Best to Mass: modesty, good taste and common sense should prevail. Accordingly, the following rules apply: NO SHORTS, EVER, FOR MEN, WOMEN OR CHILDREN. Women: No revealing clothing, low necklines, short skirts or bare midriffs. Please dress modestly with dignity and selfrespect. We suggest that women wear a head covering. Men: No tattered, soiled work clothes, old jeans or gym clothes. Please wear business or business casual attire to set a good example for our young men and boys..

Should we do more than merely respect the ministers of God? A. We should do more than merely respect the ministers of God. We should earnestly and frequently pray for them, that they may be enabled to perform the difficult and important duties of their holy state in a manner pleasing to God. Q. 1001. Who can confer the Sacrament of Holy Orders? A. Bishops can confer the Sacrament of Holy Orders. Q. 1002. How do we know that there is a true priesthood in the Church? A. We know that there is a true priesthood in the Church: 1. Because in the Jewish religion, which was only a figure of the Christian religion, there was a true priesthood established by God; 2. Because Christ conferred on His apostles and not on all the faithful the power to offer Sacrifice, distribute the Holy Eucharist and forgive sins.
