Ted Coolidge will lead us. The Psalms are prayers. As Lent draws us toward Easter, we will find how the Psalms help us to recognize joy in the worst and the best of our lives. We will learn how to use the Psalms Girl Scout Sunday is March 11th. If there are any Girl Scouts in the congregation, please let someone know before the service and then come forward so we may recognize you. Rug needed The large rug under the coffee hour table at the back of the sanctuary has seen better days. We are looking for a new (used) rug to replace it, preferably with darker colors so stains will not show up as easily. If you are replacing a rug and would like to donate it to the church, please contact Valerie in the church office. Thank you! Amazing Grace Food Pantry Holy Trinity collects food items to be delivered to the Pantry. They are in need of Cereal, Tuna Fish, Soup (other than tomato), Pasta Sauce, Peanut Butter, Canned Fruit and Vegetables, Beans (baked beans, etc.), Rice, or Boxed Potatoes. Items with a pull-tab that do not require a can opener or cooking would also be very helpful, for those daily. Continued on next page 5 4 TRINITY TRUMPET / MARCH 2018

Bishop s Visit Bishop Laura Ahrens will visit Holy Trinity on Sunday, April 8th for the Youth Service with Junior Bell Choir Housing for the Homeless St.Vincent de Paul has three more units of housing for chronically homeless people that we ll be putting into apartments in the next two months. It is hard for us to furnish three apartments at once. We have fast-tracked one of the units and may be ready for move-in in the next two-three weeks. The other two will probably happen in March. We need donations of furniture, especially a sofa-bed or futon for a wheelchair-bound mother and her adult daughter/caretaker. It s a small apartment, and the daughter will need a bed that can double as a couch during the day. If anyone from Holy Trinity is interested in doing this as a group, organizing a drive, or directly donating furniture, please contact Ron Krom by e-mail or phone at 860-344-0097.
