P rayer Guide Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33 A Week of Prayer Sunday: Pray for those who need healing: Dottie Pride, Ligia Munoz (Lucy DeJesus sister). Monday: DMC participant: Ronda and Kaitlyn Histand, Township Line Rd, Wycombe, Pray blessings for the Histand family and their neighborhood. Tuesday: Pray for those grieving in our congregation due to the loss of a close family member: Ruth Godshalk, the Leatherman and Snyder families. Wednesday: Community Group, Alcoholics Anonymous, Give thanks for the AA group which meets here at 12 noon on Weds. Pray that participants would find strength to remain sober through their relationship with God and their community. Thursday: Praise God for the harvest in the Sandy Ridge Community Garden which is being shared every week with the local food pantries. Friday: Mennonite Mission Network s Missional Discipleship Initiative uses small groups to encourage spiritual growth in congregations. Because of its relational nature, transformation spreads to the entire church. Pray for Marvin Lorenzana, the coordinator, and all who open themselves to the Holy Spirit s work through this ministry. Saturday: Pray for your neighbors today, and ask God to show you ways to be hospitable in your circles of friends, co-workers, neighbors, family, etc.

Prayer Opportunities P rayer Guide Prayer Together meets here in the Upstairs Prayer Room. Our goal is to lift up the Lord and to intercede as the Spirit leads for our congregation and community. Today, July 30, SS hour. The Prayer Room next to the sanctuary is open for you to come in and meet briefly with the prayer ushers. They will pray in confidence for you and usher you to the throne of grace where Jesus has invited us. A Prayer for this week A Crafted Prayer for DMC 2017 Father God, You are holy and deserving of all our love. We ask you to show us the way you want to mold us into the image of Jesus even through pain and suffering. Jesus, teach us how to be humble. Holy Spirit, come with power as we put on the armor of God and stand firm. We receive the peace that you promise. We pray this in the strong name of Jesus as your followers. Amen

DMC Notes As in the past, there will be NO SS during the month of August. Worship will begin at 10 AM for each Sunday of August. Church Picnic will be on August 6, 10:00 am at Lost Acres Ranch. Look for flyer on the bulletin board and on the organ bench. School Kits: School is about to start, many children around the world cannot get school supplies, so MCC helps them. They need you to buy supplies while stores around us are selling them now!!! Put the items in the bags provided in the cart at the front. Please only include exactly what is listed on the card in your mailbox. Many of 1 item can be given. Communion: Next Sunday at the picnic as we focus on generosity, we will celebrate communion. Our next Mission Sunday is Sunday, August 27. J.R. Briggs of Kairos Partnerships will bring the morning message Community Day will be held Sat, Sept. 2, 11am - 3pm. We will again have a CRAFT/FLEA MARKET. If you are interested in participating please contact Judy Garrido at garridofam@hotmail.com or at 215-795-0572 by August 13. Community Day meeting will be held today during SS. Newsletter deadline for Tuesday, August 1. The worship planning committee has decided to try reformatting our weekly bulletin during the month of August. We are doing this on a trial basis so please provide us feedback on what is and what is not helpful. KrisAnne is preaching at Ambler Mennonite Church this morning. Ministry Leadership Team has accepted the resignation of Jacquie Landis in her role as worship team leader. Jacquie shared with both Mark Reiff and Pastor Randy that after prayer and much thought she feels it is time for her to step away from this responsibility. The timing and plans for transition are yet to be determined. Jacquie has graciously agreed to work with us in this process. MLT is grateful for Jacquie s faithful commitment to this role over the past several years. We will keep the congregation informed as plans are made going forward. Your prayers are greatly appreciated.
