ST. HELEN CHURCH RIVERSIDE, OHIO MAY 15, 2016 PLEASE WELCOME OUR NEW ASSOCIATE PASTOR, FR. VINCENT I was born on St. Thomas Day, July 3, 1956, in Irinjalakuda, Kerela, S. India, the 12 th born child of Lazarus and Rosa. Four of my siblings passed away as infants due to the infant mortality that was rampant during the dirty thirties. Both of my parents have passed away; my Mother in 1988 and my Father in 1996. All my remaining siblings live in India. I attended parochial school and then Christ College, which was run by the Carmelite Fathers. I have my undergraduate degree in English, Politics, and Economics. I completed my formation at St. Thomas Apostolic Seminary, where I received my degrees in Philosophy and Theology. I was ordained as a priest of the Diocese of Irinjalakuda, Kerala,S. India, on December 30, 1980 where I served until 1995, when I traveled to Bismarck, ND to join some of our priests serving there. While there, I worked as an Associate and then as an Administrator before moving on to Chicago, where I was the Catholic Chaplain at Resurrection Hospital as well as assisting at a parish is Evanston, IL. In 2009 I moved back to India to once again serve in my home parish at Divine Retreat Center, a popular location for people to come and hear the Word and participate in life changing reform. This was a joyful and meaningful experience for me! In 2015 I was granted permission to return to the United States. I came to Dayton, OH and joined a colleague, from my time in North Dakota, who is serving as Chaplain at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Bishop Joe Binzer was so kind to introduce me to Fr. Satish, who graciously offered me a place to live at Immaculate Conception, where I have been residing for the past five months. I am thankful for Archbishop Dennis Schnurr and the opportunity he has given me to be with the families of Immaculate Conception and St. Helen. I am grateful for our Pastors, Fr. Satish and Fr. Dave, who have been so very good and supportive to me. God willing, I will serve you in a humble and kind way for the years to come. I continue to ask for your valuable prayers and blessings. May God Bless us all, Fr.
