Who is Jesus? Jesus has to either be a liar, a lunatic, or the Lord. He was either a deceiver, deluded, or divine. He either intentionally set out to deceive people, He was deceived Himself, or He is exactly who He said He was.
Who is Jesus? Either He is who He said He was, and He deserves to be worshiped. Or, He isn t who He said He was, and we shouldn t want anything to do with Him at all. Our opinion of Him does not change who He is one bit. What we believe about Him will determine where we will spend eternity.
I. The Bread of Life John 6:35 Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger. Jesus is saying that we cannot have spiritual life apart from Him. John 6:40 For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.
I. The Bread of Life John 6:41-42 41 Therefore the Jews were grumbling about Him, because He said, I am the bread that came down out of heaven. 42 They were saying, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does He now say, I have come down out of heaven?
II. The Light of the World John 8:12 Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life. III. The Resurrection and the Life John 11:25-26 25 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this? A life without Jesus, results in an eternity without God.
III. The Resurrection and the Life Those without Jesus are separated from God s love and mercy for all eternity in continual torment. Do you believe that Jesus alone can provide eternal life?
IV. The Only Way to Heaven John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. Jesus makes it very clear that He is not one of many paths. Jesus said that He is the only way. He also said that He was God.
V. One With the Father John 10:30 I and the Father are one. The only correct way to understand His statement is to understand that Jesus was saying that He was God in the flesh.
V. One With the Father John 10:31-33 31 The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered them, I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me? 33 The Jews answered Him, For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God.
V. One With the Father Jesus clearly said that He was God and if we don t believe that He is, then we have to dismiss Him as someone not even worth our slightest attention.
