Eligible children must be four and five years old of age (respectively) by August 31 to apply. We will hold an informational night for parents in Banchero Hall on Thursday January 24 at 7:00 pm. Please contact Jennifer Hazzard at jhazzard@stannesea.org or more information. St. Anne School Auction Offertory Cards: A New Way to Demonstrate Your Stewardship of Your Talents, Time and Support of Others Everyone is invited to participate in a new way to offer and share your acts of stewardship, especially of your talents, time and support of others! There will soon be a new way for all members of our St. Anne community to offer and share their acts of stewardship for our community and those around them. In an effort to encourage broader participation and sharing of acts of stewardship, the Liturgy Commission and Stewardship Commission have collaborated to develop offertory cards that may be completed and submitted to the collection basket at the weekend Masses. The cards provide a way for all members of the community young and old to write or draw ways they have shared their stewardship of gifts (talents), time and support during the past week. The cards will be available at the entrances of church before Masses next weekend, January 19-20, Please pick up a card, complete it before offertory, and drop it in the collection basket. Commission members will collect the cards. To further promote stewardship across the community, the Liturgy Commission and Stewardship Commission will share basic information about participation level and manner of participation (writing, drawing or both) in a bulletin announcement in the near future. Good Grief Finding God and growth in the midst of loss A one-day retreat facilitated by Jane Fleming, MPM Saturday, January 26 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Times of loss can test our faith: we may feel abandoned by God and question the meaning of life. But grief can also lead us to personal spiritual development and deeper faith. We begin to see ourselves and our relationship with God from new perspectives. Jane Fleming MPM is a Hospice Grief Counselor, Spiritual Director, and St. Anne parishioner. Intent: To provide a supportive, grace-filled day for participants to share, reflect and pray together in a circle of trust and explore ways in which grief can be a pathway to growth. Lunch is provided. Registration is limited to 20. Registration: Donation To register, phone 206-282-0223 or email info@stanneseattle.org St. Anne School Open House You are invited to attend St. Anne School's open house on Sunday, January 27th from 11:30-1:00. Catholic Advocacy Day Every year Catholic parishes all over Western Washington send delegations to advocate for the poor with their senators and representatives in the State Legislature in Olympia. This highly visible and highly effective pilgrimage has come to be known as Catholic Advocacy Day. Our St. Anne Social Justice Commission strongly encourages anyone who has not experienced this kind of active citizenship to join the parish delegation on Thursday, February 7. It is an all-day commitment (transportation provided) - and well-worth taking a day from work to learn just how much one person or one community can actually do. Registration closes January 23. To register, go to https://www.ipjc.org/cad/ Elementary Faith Formation Every Sunday Morning We gather, as always, on Sundays from 9:00 9:50 am. We meet on the 2 nd floor of our Parish Office. Contact Mike at 206-282-0223 or mikeborte@stanneseattle.org for more information. 110 th Anniversary Historical Videos & Stories Go to our Parish Website to view some videos of the stories of long-term parishioners of St. Anne. Luke the Gospel for saints & sinners a four-week study Continues this Wednesday 7:00 pm in the House of Prayer In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus reaches out to rich and poor, women and men, socialites and outcasts. The Gospel challenges us today to create a church that is as welcoming and as inclusive as Jesus was. Join us for this four-week study of the Gospel we will hear throughout 2019. Everyone is welcome for all or any part of the series. There is no registration or fee. For more information contact the Parish Office.
