St. Ann s Parish Easter Sunday March 27, 2016 Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia! Easter is often referred to as the Queen of Feasts, because it is the central celebration of our lives. Our entire faith as Christians is created by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. By His death and resurrection, He transformed our death from the entrance into condemnation to the entrance into salvation in His Kingdom. His empty tomb gives our lives new meaning, and we will never be the same again. Every Sunday, we come to participate in His Passion and to receive the Eucharist by which we journey with Christ through His cross to the glory of His risen life. I pray that we will all be ever aware of the great treasure that is ours every Sunday to come and have our sins forgiven in the Risen Lord, and that we will never take this tremendous gift for granted. Perhaps we can all begin to see participating in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass Sunday not as our Sunday Mass obligation but as our Sunday Mass privilege. If you have been away from the practice of the faith and need our help to return to the sacraments, please don t hesitate to call upon us to assist you in any way possible. We re always here for you! May you and your families always be filled with the joy and blessings of our Risen Lord! Alleluia! I wish to express my thanks to all who worked so hard to make our celebration of the Holy Triduum so beautiful: the lectors and cantors for Tenebrae, the choir, the altar servers, the ushers, the sacristans, and the ladies who decorated the Repository for Holy Thursday and the altar for Easter. May God bless you always, and may He bless the entire St. Ann s family on this day of Easter joy. Alleluia! 2016 Catholic Elementary School Open House Save the dates: April 12 from 9:00AM - 11:00AM.
