Putnam Chorale Concert On Friday, November 30 at 7:00pm the Putnam Chorale and orchestra will be making their Dutchess County Debut at St. Joachim/St. John the Evangelist Church on 51 Leonard Street, Beacon, NY. The Putnam Chorale and orchestra, under the direction of composer/director Douglas Anderson, will be performing HOLY HAYDN. This concert will include 4 sacred works by Joseph Franz Haydn. Tickets for this Beacon concert are $10. FEARLESS! A Retreat for Teens in Grades 8-12 What is required to follow Christ? Courage. Fearless Retreats (for students in grades 8-12) bring teens to the foot of the Cross, inspire them to sainthood, and set them on fire for Christ in the Eucharist! Retreats include activities such as basketball, laser tag, ultimate Frisbee, soccer, Mass, praise and worship, Eucharistic Adoration, and talks and testimonies by guests including the Franciscan Friars and Sisters of the Renewal, and other clergy and religious! Bringing the Christmas Spirit to Families in Need Throughout the year, Catholic Charities has been working with families from our local communities who are struggling to keep their lights on, remain in their homes and /or provide food for their children and they will not have extra funds to provide gifts for their children this Christmas. We will match you with a family size of your choice and then we share their wish list of basic clothing items that you can use as a guide when you go shopping for them! So while you are out enjoying the Millbrook Parade of Lights, stop by for some holiday shopping and festivities. You can continue to visit the library to view and bid on your favorite items until the closing evening of Dec. 15th. That night the bids will be closed, winners announced, and refreshments served. It will be another time to mingle with friends and family and share in the holiday excitement!
