Examples of Translation Defects
Reformation period Bible translators were affected by the generic church view that in general all good things would only come in heaven, or at the bodily return of Christ. Therefore, translations tend to be bent toward all references to resurrection being ascribed to only future resurrection after death. This tends to add some obscurity to the great truth of the potent resurrection life of Christ within the believer now. Ron McGatlin The Seventh Millennium p:32
I was looking at instances of textual variant notes found in the King James Version; there are 2,193 instances. (Yes, the early th 17 Century Anglican King James translators made textual critical choices when they translated it. Just as modern translators Alan Kurschner make textual decisions today.) www.alankurschner.com/2016/05/26/the-1611-king-james-bible-agrees-with-the-prewrath-position/
Translators Censor Scripture 5:38
Believers nullify any idea of Bible inerrancy
If the Bible is believed to be: The source of all knowledge Holy Writ Holy Scripture Why is there so much difference in interpretation?
What was Jesus wanting us to believe here? You are the Christ, the Son of the living God...I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church... Matthew 16:16-18 (NKJV)
If the Bible is believed to be: The source of all knowledge Holy Writ Holy Scripture Why don't we do exactly what it says?
EXAMPLE: But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; Ephesians 5:3 (NKJV) Photo by stil333. Published on 29 March 2012 www.freedigitalphotos.net - Image ID: 10078352
EXAMPLE: I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God. 1 Timothy 2:9-10 (NIV)
EXAMPLE: Appoint elders in every city as I commanded you if a man is blameless, the husband of one wife... Titus 1:5-6 (NKJV)
Are you prepared to do this? If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you Matthew 5:29 (NKJV)
What about this? Give strong drink to him who is perishing, and wine to those who are bitter of heart. Let him drink and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more. Proverbs 31:6-7 (NKJV)
WHY are we the problem? Because we preach that the Bible is the perfect source of God's knowledge but we turn it to suit ourselves & we justify what we do that doesn't line up with it
So, how do Kingdom Citizen Relate to the Bible?
Is there knowledge outside of the Bible? YES www.entertainmentwallpaper.com/download/10031270/
If the Bible is the source of all knowledge: Why do you pray and ask God for knowledge?
If the Bible is the source of all knowledge: Why is there such as thing as 'word of knowledge'? (1 Corinthians 12:8)
Some have to find it in the Bible to believe it. Truth? NO
You meet Albert Einstein. He s standing next to a pile of the books he has written. Do you want him to teach you or do you want to read his books?
A Question: Is it more productive to read the Bible or to hear constantly from the Spirit of Truth?
NOTE these points: We are spiritual people. Heaven is our Head Office, but we live and operate on the Earth. We need to concentrate on spiritual communication with our King and with heaven because that's who we work for.
How about this? As for you, the anointing [the special gift, the preparation] which you received from Him remains [permanently] in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you. But just as His anointing teaches you [giving you insight through the presence of the Holy Spirit] about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as His anointing has taught you, you must remain in Him [being rooted in Him, knit to Him]. 1 John 2:27 AMP
The first church was revelatory Their teaching came from revelation and from what Jesus revealed to them Paul spent years in Arabia where he was taught by the Lord and he wrote from revelation unless reasoning from Jewish understanding (Galatians 1:17-18)
Paul taught from revelatory knowledge: Think of our Lord s patience as facilitating salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him. He speaks about this subject in all his letters. Some things in them are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, leading to their own destruction, as they do the rest of the Scriptures. And so, dear friends, since you already know these things, continuously be on your guard not to be carried away by the deception of lawless people. Otherwise, you may fall from your secure position. (2 Peter 3:15-17 ISV)
For I want you to know, believers, that the gospel which was preached by me is not man s gospel [it is not a human invention, patterned after any human concept]. For indeed I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a [direct] revelation of Jesus Christ. Gospel of the Kingdom Galatians 1:11-12 (AMP)
The first church was revelatory It's important to note that their epistles were not scriptural exegesis (excepting Hebrews) and there were very few quotes of what Jesus said The NT writers only included approximately 132 OT quotations in their epistles. Indirect or partial quotations increase this number. (www.truthaccordingtoscripture.com) In most cases this was to explain beliefs from a Jewish perspective.
The first church was revelatory They didn't follow the religious traditions or those of men st See the 1 Jerusalem Council (Acts 15:19-20) No circumcision (Romans 2:29) Don't celebrate special days (Galatians 4:9-11)
So, for Kingdom citizens, the Bible is a source of: Frame of reference Ancient history Knowledge of God Appropriate lifestyle characteristics Doctrine Knowledge for teaching Discipleship training Revelatory knowledge when inspired
For Kingdom citizens, the source of spiritual knowledge is: Listening with the spirit Revelation Prophetic Teaching Prophecy Discernment Word of Knowledge Passed on doctrine Word of Wisdom Counsel of the Lord Dreams & Visions
For Kingdom citizens, the source of spiritual knowledge is: Listening with the spirit Revelation Prophetic Teaching Prophecy Discernment Word of Knowledge Passed on doctrine Word of Wisdom Counsel of the Lord Dreams & Visions
Revelatory knowledge example: Early one morning the Spirit of God directed me to these words, I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you. (Psalm 32:8-9) (continued on next slide)
Revelatory knowledge example: It was the word 'understanding' over which the Spirit of God dwelt. Suddenly, it was alive with meaning as I entered into a revelation of the purposes of God. This is the gist of the revelation: God is looking throughout the Earth for a people upon whom He can pour out His Spirit in a particular way and for a particular purpose. He seeks a people who will allow Him to bring them into unity, enabling Him to give them a gift, the spirit of understanding. Then with one heart and one mind they will arise to do the work of God.
If you're adhering to the 4 Blood Moons scenario based on biblical prophecy... You're still in the dark
If you're waiting on the Shemitah effect that's based on biblical feasts.. You're still in the dark
But it doesn't mean that you ARE right!
Our biblical attitudes relate to: The tyranny of the unknown The safety of the familiar
However: In the Kingdom and the spirit, it's all about stepping out in FAITH
IMPORTANT: It's all about getting the balance right between spirituality, character & Kingdom lifestyle

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND (2/6/2016) by Marsha Burns [ft111.com/smallstraws.htm] I speak to the multitudes when I say that you need a fresh anointing. You can no longer rely on an old word, or your relationship with me as it was months or years ago. You need to be revitalized and seek My face for current revelation and guidance. You cannot live in the past or continue on in religious exercise where there is no life, says the Lord. I call you to rise up and live! MARSHA BURNS
