Topic: Prayer Grade 7 Prayer Explore the nature, purpose, disposition, and need for prayer. Discuss how prayer was the cornerstone for Jesus ministry and therefore must be the cornerstone of our lives and service to others. Explain the essential elements of prayer in the Our Father as taught to us by Jesus. Give a basic explanation of each of the Stations of the Cross. Explain that the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary were added by Pope John Paul II to include Christ s public ministry. Recognize that the twenty mysteries of the Rosary are a compendium of the Gospel, which lead us to reflect upon the life of Christ. Become familiar with a variety of devotional practices, especially as listed in the DFR Supplementary Prayer List

Prayer Grade 7 Recite by heart the prayers listed in the DFR Religion Curriculum Prayer List. Personally engage themselves in prayer and devotions, chosen from the richness of our Catholic Tradition.
