Bible Month During June, along with many other Methodist congregations across the UK, we will celebrate Bible Month. This year, we will study the Book of Jonah, a fascinating book with many messages for our Christian lives today. Each week apart from the first one, we will join together for these services, with our children and young people joining us too in the 3 rd week. Our Junior Church will look at Jonah in their own sessions this month too watch out for some big fish! There are large print copies of the text of Jonah available for those who find the church Bibles difficult. A Church Full Of Children On Thursday 24 th May, Priory welcomed over 100 of the youngest children from Goldington Green Academy who visited us as part of their RE programme. In honour of the recent royal wedding, they arrived in 3 groups in an old London bus, which caused great excitement. The children were interested in such things as the font, our church music, falls and banners and the Communion tables; spotting crosses was popular too! The Creation window in the chapel was a highlight and there were lots of different ideas about what is represented there. We hope that they felt welcome in the church; who knows what seeds may have been sown though the conversations? Thank you to those who helped to show the children round and provide squash and biscuits afterwards. Rev. Andrew Hollins Andrew is on sabbatical until 18th August 2018 Rev. Please pray that Andrew will have a refreshing and inspiring sabbatical.
