June 22, 2019 at the Whitetail Golf Club Vacation Bible School 2018 Many thanks to the awesome staff and dedicated families whose children and youth attended VBS at our Light of Christ campus this summer!! Each day we learned a Bible story which took place in or near a river or ocean. We learned how much God loves and cares for us through these stories. We had lots of fun with all of the staff who shared stories, activities, crafts, games, songs and food with us related to the theme. Sixty-two children were enrolled and were led by a staff of thirty-three teens and adults ranging in age from 14-85! We even had a "river" in our sanctuary made by Kathy and Larissa Pelletiers which helped to bring the stories to life! It was beautifully created with Christmas lights that made it look like it was glistening in God's light!! Thanks Be To God!! 5

Reaching out to God in prayer. Outdoor fun! A boat ride on Splash Mountain! 6

Learning about God through music...and drumming rhythms! 7

Food Drive to Restock Emergency Pantry Donations of nonperishable food items are needed to restock a small emergency food pantry, created last year through a Thrivent Action Team. It is housed at St. Peter and is available for members and nonmembers who find themselves with too much month at the end of the money. Donations will be received throughout the month of August and may be put in marked containers at both Light of Christ and St. Peter. Food items needed are: cans of tuna, chicken, and ham; peanut butter, chunky soups, rice, pasta, ramen noodles, breakfast cereal, canned vegetables, spaghetti sauce, canned or dried beans, canned fruits, fruit juice (100 % juice) and canned milk.
