And a blessed Epiphany Sunday and season! We have come to worship the King, just as the wise men did so long ago. Welcome. Large print bulletins are available, and children s bulletins are available on the table in the Narthex. A nursery is available for infants up to 5 years-of-age.

Those who are able are invited to stand. PRELUDE Overture from Unto Us a Child is Born J.S. Bach LIFE OF THE CONGREGATION Moment of silence to prepare your hearts for worship SONG OF DEVOTION (hymnal & screen) (please remain seated) #633 Open Our Eyes, Lord LET US WORSHIP GOD TOGETHER CALL TO WORSHIP (Psalm 29:1-2) Leader: Ascribe to the Lord, you heavenly beings, People: ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Leader: Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His Name; People: worship the Lord in the splendor of His Holiness. INVOCATION Leader: God of glory, shine out through our lives and draw our neighbor to You. Drive the evil one from our lives and guard us from all temptation. Make our praise glorious so that You will be honored in our world. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. SONGS OF PRAISE (hymnal & screen) #431 Shine, Jesus, Shine Step by Step CALL TO CONFESSION: (2 Corinthians 3:7-9) Leader: Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! Let us confess our sin to God and seek the righteousness and glory that is offered through the Spirit of Christ. Please join me in silent prayer. SILENT PRAYER

PRAYER OF CONFESSION Unison: God of Grace and Glory, drive all that is sinful and disobedient from our lives. Purify our hearts with Your grace so that Your glory might shine through our lives. Let our hands do Your work, our mouths speak Your truth and set our feet upon Your path. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. ASSURANCE OF PARDON (Isaiah 60:19-21) Leader: The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end. Then all your people will be righteous, and they will possess the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of My hands, for the display of my splendor. Sisters and brothers in Christ, believe the good news: through faith in Christ we are forgiven. AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Westminster Larger Catechism Leader: What is the chief and highest end of man? People: Man s chief and highest end is to glorify God, and fully to enjoy Him forever.
