Today is sunny and windy, the perfect combination to dry the land. It is nature correcting itself, the planet bringing itself back into harmony, the planet healing itself. Our bodies do the same. How many cuts or bruises have you had in your life? Too many to count? Too many to remember? Maybe they are unremembered because there is no longer any evidence of the great majority of them. The church or the body of Christ does the same thing. Always correcting itself, healing itself, bringing itself back into harmony. One member is suffering and the other members rush to her like white blood cells rushing to a wound. We usually think of creation as a completed project, but what was once spoken into existence by God continues to correct, repair, and rejuvenate itself. God s voice still echoes throughout the universe. His words are Spirit and life. Pastor Gary Don t forget to turn your clocks back! Daylight Savings Time ends at 2AM on Sunday, November 5th.

Of course we are thankful for the obvious thinks like friends and family, but we are also so thankful for the support our congregation has given to our nursery school over the past 17 years! We are truly blessed to be working together to provide quality programs to young children and their families! We are so thankful for the support our congregation has given to our nursery school over the past 17 years! November is a busy and fun-filled month. We continue to learn about autumn activities and prepare for Thanksgiving. Now that the weather has turned colder we see falling leaves and the children practice putting on their own coats. We see birds flying away and, occasionally, have even see deer outside our classroom window! We are also learning ab out community helpers and are looking forward to a visit from the Aberdeen Police Department officers. One of our dads is a police officer in Aberdeen and has arranged for cars and police officers to visit us. Our afternoon class will take a train ride from Matawan to Little Silver for a pizza lunch and then ride back to Matawan. We love being commuters! In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we will one again conduct a food drive to benefit the Matawan Food Pantry. The children love bringing in items to put in our big basket and truly understand the spirit of giving to others. On behalf of the staff and families of the nursery school, I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! Blessings, Janet Kain
