Day to Day Itinerary Day 0 Vladivostok We can book accommodation and tours in Vladivostok in advance of your Trans-Siberian train journey. Day 1 Vladivostok Transfer to the 4* Astoria hotel, where you stay for 1 night. Submarine in Vladivostok Irkutsk 1,425km, where you are now in a different time zone, 6 hours ahead of Moscow. Day 5 Train to Irkutsk Listvyanka Travel through Siberian Russia, passing Ulan-Ude and the eastern shore of Lake Baikal in the early morning. Arrival in Irkutsk around 22:23 (or 15:31 on #1) and meet your local guide/driver on station platform for a transfer to the 3* Angara Hotel, where you stay 1 night. Day 6 Listvyanka Lake Baikal Breakfast and transfer to Listvyanka, the main village on the shore of Lake Baikal (70km from Irkutsk). Staying two nights at Sasha s budget Guesthouse. Free afternoon to explore the village, the nature around the lake, and the interesting local Baikal Lymnological museum. (B) Day 2 Vladivostok Train to Irkutsk Guided city walking tour (10:00-2 hrs). Free afternoon before evening transfer to station. Depart on train #7 at 21:52 (or #1 at 19:10). (B) Day 3 and 4 On Board Train Two days of crossing the Far East by train with the first half hour stop at Khabarovsk, 767km from Vladivostok. Day 7 Listvyanka Lake Baikal Breakfast and free time to explore. (B) Day 8 Listvyanka Irkutsk Return to Irkutsk by yourself on the public bus (your guide will provide instructions). Irkutsk is an important staging post on the Trans- Siberian Railway and during the 2 hrs walking tour you will see how the railway influenced and developed this city. Irkutsk has an old centre very easy to navigate on foot with lovely Siberian wooden architecture and an amazing history of fires and rebuilding. Free time before afternoon transfer to train station. Depart on train #69 at 16:39. (B) Ob and Yenisei. It is the half way point on the Moscow to Beijing Trans-Mongolian line. The train will make regular stops, including longer stopovers in cities such as Krasnoyarsk and Novosibirsk where passengers can get off the train briefly to buy fresh produce from local vendors and stretch their legs. Day 10 On board train Euro-Asia border Passing cities such as Ekaterinburg and Perm as you cross the Ural Mountains and the geographic border between Asia and Europe. Day 11 On board train You will notice the land become less farmed and more industrial as you leave Siberia and cross into the Ural provinces and ultimately close in on Moscow. Day 12 Arrival Moscow Excursion Early arrival at 04:11 in Moscow. Meet your driver on the platform. Transfer to City Comfort Hotel. Meet your guide at 10:00 and enjoy a great 3 hour orientation tour of Moscow city center. Early check-in on arrival, refresh and breakfast, with your room available till check-out at noon or the option to extend your stay. Guided city walking tour for 3 hrs starting at 10:00. (B) All our guides have their own personal itineraries and will visit many of the main sites, including: Tverskaya street and it s important buildings, Manezhnaya square, Marshal Zhukov monument, Lubyanka (former KGB building), Aleksandrovsky Gardens and of course the Red Square, St. Basil s Cathedral and the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.
