A note from Father Brandon. Once a month during the summer months, we are invited to participate and support the Church beyond our country s borders through the Missionary Cooperative Plan. Missionaries throughout the world come to our parishes to share the story of their missions and invite us to participate with our prayer and financial support. Pope Francis in his Apostolic Exhortation, Evangelii Gaudium reminds us that in virtue of their baptism, all the members of the people of God have become missionary disciples. All the baptized, whatever their position in the Church or their level of instruction in the faith, are agents of evangelization This year, we have two missionaries coming to our parish. Fr. Encounter: From the Heart of Pope Francis Join us Sat., Aug. 11th, at St. Paschal for an evening of song & prayer inspired by the teachings of Pope Francis and presented by our combined Music Ministry. Catholics and non-catholics alike will experience through an encounter with Jesus. Please mark your calendars for this truly prayerful event followed by fellowship and refreshments. On August 11th, after the 4:00 Mass there will be fellowship and dinner hosted by the Hospitality Committee. Please RSVP (back of the church) for the dinner so we have enough food. The Encounter begins at 7:00. Afterward we ll have a dessert potluck. Sign up to let us know what dessert you re bringing to share. Lastly, we need help with set up and clean-up for these events. Divine Mercy Corner The mission of St. Faustina was recorded in her Diary which she kept at the specific request of the Lord Jesus and her confessors. In it, she recorded faithfully all of the Lord Jesus' wishes and also described the encounters between her soul and Him.
