Pop Tabs and Box-Tops Saint Stanislaus and Our Lady of Victories Schools Thank you to all who supported our past collection of pop-tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Unfortunately, we no longer participate in this program. However, if you are still interested in donating poptabs, Saint Stanislaus School (221 MacArthur Avenue) in Sayreville does collect pop-tabs for the Ronald McDonald House - please do NOT leave tabs at St. Mary s; bring them to St. Stan s school. If you are interested in collecting box-tops (see picture), we have a bin in the back of the church for donations. The box-tops support Our Lady of Victories School in Sayreville. Blood Drive at Saint Mary Church Sunday, February 17, in School Cafeteria Saint Mary s will be having a blood drive on Sunday, February 17, from 8:45 a.m. until 1:15 p.m., in the school cafeteria. Please bring ID and remember to eat before you donate. Donors should be at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Homemade goodies will be served, walk-ins are welcome! Please call Sue at 732-220-7077 for more information. A Note from St. Mary's Food Pantry The Food Pantry appreciates all that you do for those in need. Just a reminder please do not leave food on the rectory steps or porches. Designer Handbag Bingo at Our Lady of Victories Friday, February 22, at 7 p.m. Our Lady of Victories Designer Handbag Bingo Fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, February 22, at 7 p.m., in Monsignor Dalton Hall (42 Main Street) in Sayreville (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). Snow date is February 23. Ticket price is $35.00 and includes 10 games of bingo/1 bingo card per game with 5-Level 1 and 3-Level 2 Raffle Tickets. Additional bingo game cards can be purchased at the event as well as tickets for 3 levels of Tricky Tray Raffles and 50/50. BYO food, dessert and refreshments. Coffee and tea will be provided. For Your Safety This Winter Weekday Masses and Inclement Weather After much thought and careful consideration, we have decided that it is best to follow the South Amboy public schools schedule for inclement weather in the winter. If the schools are closed due to snow or ice, then that day s Mass will be cancelled and the parish office will also be closed. For weekend Masses, please check our website or Facebook page before heading out to see if Mass has been cancelled (and spread the word to those who may not have access to a computer). Most importantly, whether it is a weekday or weekend Mass if the weather is poor, please do NOT risk your safety to come to Mass. Diocesan Respect Life Mass and Pro-Vita Awards Bishop James F. Checchio will celebrate the Annual Diocesan Respect for Life Mass at noon next Sunday, January 20, at the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi in Metuchen. The bishop will also present the 2019 Pro-Vita awards. This year s recipients are: Patricia Daly, a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale, Carolyn Glodek, a parishioner at St. John Vianney Parish in Colonia and William Tevald, a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale.
