Quote of the Week 'Christmas is a time when kids tell Santa what they want and adults pay for it. Deficits are when adults tell the government what they want and their kids pay for it'. Richard Lamm WORLDO S WEEK IN ROTARY 19 DECEMBER 2018 This has been another week in Rotary where our Club has made a difference to those in need in our community. Under the guidance of Chris Watson, and with significant help from our members and friends, the Santa Crawl has raised significant funds for Ronald McDonald House. And again, on Wednesday, members have kindly donated goods for distribution by the Salvation Army. It was great that past member Dean Clutterbuck was on hand to collect the goods, and his brief, but certainly sobering, words highlighted how tough it is at present for parts of the Tamworth Community. Pedal the Peel is on again this year, and it will be a joint fundraising initiative with Sunrise Rotary Club. Please let Terry Robinson know if you have any suggestions for causes worthy of support by the project. Enjoy a safe and happy Christmas and New Year break with your families and loved ones. I look forward to seeing everyone again at our next meeting in Anzac Park on Wednesday 9 th January 2019, and to enjoy the hospitality of Brian Logan and his catering team. John Worldon
