Announcements We welcome you this special annual Global Missions Festival morning! We normally gather at 9:00 am and 11:00 am for worship, but today we wanted to be all together at the same time for the combined joy of the Lord in the Great Commission. Please join us after worship at 11:00 AM for special snacks and fellowship

before moving into Rm 7 & 8 for some slides and sharing about China Service Ventures. We welcome our special guests representing our Lutheran Missionary work in China through China Service Ventures (state side) and now also known as MeiWen (China side). We are so pleased to have our sponsored Missionaries Pastor Jeff Nellermoe and his wife Mim (Trelstad) Nellermoe, and our new Chinese site leaders in the Hunan Provence, Nancy and Yang Guang. They will share with us during the children s and adult message, and after the service with photo slides and your Q &A time. We also are so pleased to have our four summer short term missioners, joining them. Kathy & JoAnn Lindstaed were sent from Saint John s these past two summers to create and staff the Children s Camps. Two more enthusiastic missioners went this past summer for the first time, Rebecca & Whitney Davis. Global Missions Festival Sunday also lifts up for all to see the varied other global ministries that Saint John s supports - Center for Christian Education in Martin, Slovakia, Eastern Europe; World Mission Prayer League, esppecially in Mongolia; Lutheran Church Mekane Yesus in Ethiopia, Africa; ZOZU Project Christian School in Uganda, Africa; L.A.M.B. medical missionary in Bangladesh; and Bangladesh Lutheran Health Care. Please visit the table displays of many of these. Today s Annual Festival worship, special snacks and fellowship time, and slide show sharing and prayer time is gladly sponsored by our Global Missions Ministry Team - Jeff Metcalfe, Marcy Richardson, Betty Hanson, Pastor Jerry and Mavis Trelstad, Stan and Delene Keck, and Pastor Randy. To God be the glory! October begins our month long annual Stewardship Emphasis, Let us be STEWARDS of our Golden Jubilee. As Stewards (Managers) we have been given the responsibility (and blessing) of caring for the Gospel (Good News of God in Christ for the World). This means we give

our time, talents, and treasures out of thankfulness for being found, cleansed, and united through Christ. We live our Stewardship in the ministry of the Body of Christ (the Church) in outreach to the world. Therefore, we gladly support our local church because Saint John s is our home base, our launching pad, our family of faith. 2016 marks the 50th Anniversary of Saint John s - we want a strong stewardship of thanks and outreach that this Golden Jubilee marks. We show our thanks best by trusting God in these next 50 years and in this coming year with new pastoral leadership and renewed mission. * So attend Nov. 1st 10:00 AM Combined Worship and the 11:00 AM Banquet and Program with Guest Speaker Rev. Paul Jones. * Please sign up on the easel board in the Commons for one of six Nov. 2-7th Jubilee Home Group Meetings. * Then on Nov. 8th is our Ingathering Sunday as we lay our 2016 Plan for Giving/Tithes Envelopes on the Altar.
