Satan Origin, Nature and Destruction Angels Fallen & Elect 2 Corinthians 2:11 AMP, To keep Satan from getting the advantage over us; for we are not ignorant of his wiles and intentions. - What we don t know can have an adverse effect upon our lives - What we misunderstand also can have dire consequences as well - We need to understand our enemy through Scripture so we won t be caught off guard - Satan is a defeated foe, the only weapon he has against us is deception 2 Corinthians 11:3, But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. We see three arch-angels or high ranking angles in Scriptures, and it is only these three whose names are mentioned in Scripture: - Michael- the warring angel, who in particular protects Israel- Daniel 10:13; Rev. 12:7 o Jude 9 Michael disputing with the devil over the body of Moses - Gabriel- the carrier of God s message- mentioned in Daniel 9:21 o Luke 1:19, 26- proclaimed the coming of John to Zechariah and Jesus to Mary - Lucifer (Morning Star)- Isaiah 14:12 o Stars are a Biblical reference to angels o Sons of God is another reference made in Genesis 6:2-4- Job 38:7 in KJV version God said in Job 38:7, while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy? The Creation and fall of Lucifer The two Biblical accounts of the origin of Lucifer are found in Isaiah and Ezekiel. In both references, the prophet by inspiration of the Spirit had prophesied in what we call a double reference: Isaiah - King of Babylon - Isaiah 14:9-11 - Lucifer- Isaiah 14:12-15 - King of Babylon - Isaiah 14:16-20 Ezekiel - Prince of Tyre- Ezekiel 28:1-10 - King of Tyre- Ezekiel 28:11-19

Elect Angels - Like us they are created beings who had their time of testing before Adam and Eve o 1/3 rebelled and 2/3 remained faithful - Angels are highly intelligent, powerful, rational beings with a will - 1 Pet. 1:12 o 2 Peter 2:11, yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful - Angels play a major role in God s kingdom from Genesis Revelation o They serve God s purpose in the earth by serving us - The worship of angels are forbidden- Colossians 2:18; Revelation 22:8-9-test of an elect angel - There are a countless number of elect angels in existence- Revelations 5:11; Matthew 26:53 - Rev. 5:11, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. - Angels respond only to our faith in God s Word in order to fulfill it Psalms 103:20 NASB, Bless the Lord, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, obeying the voice of His word!
